my dad had them on his silverado. you can get them from o'reilly for pretty cheep. i trashed the box a long time ago. just call o'reilly and tell them you want lowering shackles for like a 2000 chevy silverado. minor mods are needed depending on what height you wanna go. also the "frame side" of the shackle needs to be trimmed a little as the sleeve and bushing are too wide.

what i like about them is there's holes all along the sides so you have like 3 ride heights you can choose from. the only thing is if you don't use the highest hole then you have to mod the shackle a little to be able to bolt the leaf to it. i'll take pics and you'll understand.

I added the pics for you, bring it up to Sicily Island this weekend, it will help prep you for Gilmer, nothing more exhilerating than sleeping in a tent when its in the lower 30's.

yeah i saw that...thanks! not sure if i'm ok with the set up though. can't beat it for the price for sure! gotta think about it. i was gonna make a hitch that connected to the d-ring tabs on the bumper. i'd feel better with that over the 2 bolts per side set up that harbor freight sells

well I did that doorless thing and love it! only drove without the driver's door for a while cuz after getting it off I realized mine has the roll pin style door pins so I had to run to tractor supply for bolts. it was awesome! didn't get to ride it with all the doors of due to time limits (had to throw the doors back on after modifying the hinges) and the temperature. it was freakin cold here yesterday! got a xmas parade Sunday that I plan on running doorless so that'll be great. jerseyjeeper...I haven't forgot about you. I was just scrambling yesterday to get it done. I'll try and have em up tonight if I can get good pics after dark. if not it'll be Friday.

thanks man! it's a slow process! with 3 kids and a wife I have little money left over so I save a little bit at a time and start buying parts a little at a time till I have enough to do something. next up is a front bumper with a hitch so I can tow it behind my hemi.

I had to drill the body side of my hinges out with a 5/16 (makes removal easier) and cut the top one shorter to where it doesn't come out of the bottom of the body side of the hinge, also I shortened the bottom one up a little (makes it easier to put them back on with out scratching the door and the fender up). My nex step is off with the rear doors, I also took some dykes and cut the lock off the connectors in my kick panels so the plugs come undone easier.

I went to Lowes and got a $2 bit and and cut it shorter with my cutoff wheel so I could get it in there with my drill. 1/4 inch is too small, tried that and a couple in between.
