not sure why I titled this a slow build, it really is not slow at all. Things are moving along. Next pay check I plan on buying the ironrock ford 8.8 truss kit. I have the axle sitting in my back yard. I just got back from camping yesterday and the brakes were terrible being drums. So I can't wait to get the 8.8 underneath. Also in line is a new radiator, she overheated twice going up to Dinkey Creek.

Had to take my headlights out as I am waiting on the bulbs and wiring harnesses. But just got back from my 10 day vacation to Oceano Dunes. While I was there I attended Jeep Beach West it was it's first year but we had about 65 jeeps there. The first day I was the only XJ. Had to represent. Wish I would have snapped some photos. It was a blast.

Currently looking at different LA setups, I am really digging the TnT kit, it's just pure beef. But its about 1 grand which isn't terrible but, IRO makes a cheaper more basic kit. I'm just wondering if any of you guys run either of these set ups and have any opinions?

Not much has changed. I just got it back running, it was having a hard time idling and even dying. Couldn't go very far before it would die. I replaced the fuel pump and filter, easier than I thought it was going to be getting to the fuel pump. Then that sort of helped so I replaced the spark plugs, ignition cap, and wires. Also changed the oil and gave it a nice wash which seems like heresy living in the central valley in CA. Prayers to all the Oakhurst people and fellow offroaderrs up there.

oh one other tidbit was i installed the HID kit and it worked until i buttoned everything up and hopped in to go test them out. Flicked the lights on and the driver side ballast now makes buzzing/clicking noises at me and the passenger side started to smoke. So sitting on the HIDs again.
ALSO, everyone go check out reddit.com/r/cherokeexj I just won XJ of the month and some awesome jeepers are over there. We need more subs.

Thanks man. It's a work in progress. I stupidly jumped on the bandwagon of tinting my taillights and got pulled over haha. So I just got worried and ordered clear corners got those in today, they look pretty good. I just need a decent HID kit for Choo31's awesome headlights.
