yea lol it was funny because i had cladding on he backed into it and it left a little mark on cladding i was like no big deal man so then i go and take pass side cladding off and im like man this is cleaning up great no marks or anything then i got to the driver side and bam! so cladding is nice it hides dents and it protects from rocks and branches i guess

i dont know much about the coil setup on gc but your rear tire looks to be sitting closer to the front of your rig. like its not centered

That's because the lift pulled the axles in.

rmtofast, do you have adjustables in back? need to move that axle back a tad lol.

And why is the rear sitting lower? pucks in the front?

Looks really nice btw.

how much trimming did you have to do exactly? the reason i ask is right now i am sitting on a 2.25 bb with 32's.....i am collecting the 5.5in lift parts and have a set of 35's already....but not sure what all i should do. i have built several xj's...buut this is the first zj. not really sure of myself on this one! lol

the fascia off the bottom of stock bumper gets cut off, the fenders in the front get cut off at first body line a little over two inches and the back just the corner of the rocker then beat the front pinch weld flat which is way easier said than done lol, you wouldn't have to cut rear at all really if you get adjustable upper and lower rear control arms to center axle back in wheel well, only reason i cut my rear corner is because my adjustable control arms are not here yet and i have a aliment this week and they are balancing my tires while its in. It dont require a lot of cutting, and you can do it and make it look nice, i took my time and the front fenders look great with the rubber trim on the edge, but you wont be able to see any of it with my go berserk flares on anyway but i like my stuff to be nice even though you cant see it.. Im thinking your going long arm with 5.5?

not sure...at first no. I am not a fan of long arms. I have all eight adj CA's and the 5.5in springs. just need to get the track bars, brake lines and the discos. I also finally got the stiffeners, and rocker guards. waiting to get front and rear bumpers front the guy you got your from on pirate. Just need more money! lol

yea adj arms should work fine for you if you get a nice set, he has nice bumpers i like the lines and how they look i got the winch bumper with no skid or light pockets, i have metal to do a skid myself and im making a stinger for it.. i also wasn't looking to go long arm right now my jks quick disc are on the way man are they salty for what they are i hope they at least give me a sticker with them

5.5 and short arms is not the greatest idea think about suspension design. You are creating very bad angles. It will ride rough on the street as well. Why are you not a fan of long arms?

not to hijack his build thread, but I will run drop brackets in front to help with angles....ya i know what everyone says, but i have had them on my last couple rigs...and i like them. I had one rig with long arms...the only thing i liked was the ride.....hated them on the trail. Maybe i just didnt give myself time to get used to it, but it didn't feel right to me. just a personal choice.....plus the saving money part. I may change my mind down the road....idk maybe i'm not hard core enough for la's!? lol

Im not saying i hate long arms but jeep built these thing knowing we were going to modify them drop brackets with adj x joint arms are just fine on the road.. long arm to me is for someone who is wheeling nice trails every week or often. Thats just my opinion though every one thinks different, and i believe when i get my lockers my short arms will perform just fine for not spending over 2 grand on a long arm lift kit
