Quote: you've godda take those flairs off and cut the fenders even with the bottom of the headlight bezel.. it looks so much better.
Right, then my Jeep can look cool like yours! Um, no thanks. I'm going to be putting a stock bumper back on it for now, until I build a real bumper.

Even though the MJ was awesome I dont blame you for selling it. I mean building is 90% of the fun right.

Have fun with your build. MJ's are awesome wheelers, but so are XJs Plus you can fit more people in an XJ

Okay, I know I said I wasn't going to do this, but I did.

I thought I had a front bumper, but the guy never got back to me. So I figured I'd go this route. So I guess the first project with my new welder will be a front bumper.

I also installed some poly swaybar bushings I found at the junkyard.

And I got my windshield replaced.

Spent all day yesterday working on the Jeep. I don't know about you guys, but I hate the gold trim on this thing. It's got to go. First I took the flares off, more of that later.

So then I started by removing the gold Country pin-striping as well as the rubber pad thing on the bottom of the door and the gold sticker just above that. (I'll be doing a write up on this real soon.)

I used a "magic eraser" to get off all the pin-striping and glue from the rubber trim and glue from the badges/emblems. It works amazingly, just be prepared for a mess.

Next up on the "get rid of the gold" list is the flares. Now I plan on running something different down the road, so I decided to paint/dye the flares satin black.

I can't wait to bolt them up. And yes, those are the same flares. I'll do a write up on this too.
