Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to share my XJ with my brethren out there.

Started out as a bone stock, base model XJ. Picked her up a few months ago on the cheap and have been slowly taking her on the path of becoming a capable trail rig and reliable daily driver. I wanna get out there and wheel now but also have some longer term plans.

Live in Austin and would love to meet up with anyone who wants to go wheel.

Here is what I've done so far:

-Engine, Trans, Diff oil changed

-The airbag light was on and the horn inoperable so I replaced the clockspring

-Replaced plugs, wires, cap, distributer and coil with Accel kit

-Flowmaster muffler

-Old radiator was cracked. Replaced with new one.

-Stock speakers were shot (and ultra crappy) as was the stereo so that had to go. Replaced with Infinity 3 ways that sound pretty decent. Pioneer stereo. Eventually I would like to move the 3 ways to the rear doors (no speakers from factory) and then put components up front with a 10" sub. This is lowest priority though.

-I have the idiot dash with the speedo and enormous (seriously wtf?) fuel gauge and useless warning lights. So I installed Autometer Phantom Series water temp, oil pressure and oil temp gauges. Mounted the gauges in the center of the dash.

I was able to route the wiring behind the dash pretty easily and up through the dash vent behind the stereo. The wires are still exposed behind the gauges but I am very pleased with how it looks.

Also for the oil temp and pressure I got a "sandwich plate" from a company called GlowShift. It sits in between the oil filter and the motor and has two threaded holes for temp/pressure probes. This is so much easier than tapping into the oil pan or some bs.

-Rubicon Express 2" Lift. Uses spacer for the coils up front and blocks for the leafs in back. Comes with 4 shocks and all the necessary hardware. Also a replacement stainless braided brake line for the rear. Fantastic price for what you get IMHO.

-15" Procomp Black Steel Wheels

-30" BFG All Terrains

In the Works:

-Armor, lots of armor. ARB Bull Bar (probably $$), rear bumper, rocker guards, rear quarter guards, diff guards, skid plates

-Winch

-CB

-Roof rack with lights

-Front locker

-Fender shaving

Future:

-4.5" Lift maybe long arm

-Dana 44 or Chrysler rear diff

-Upgrade axles and diffs

-33-34" tires

-maybe fix the sagging headliner XD

Here you can really see the height difference between 2" lift with 30" tires vs stock.

Also a shot of the gauges.
