I just got in to the Jeep scene. I got a jeep grand cher last October. 6 months later the engine died. This is when I took the opportunity to learn about engines and I swapped the engine my self. It is a 4.0 inline 6. I just finished this week It starts right up. The belt is real squeaky, but my main concern is its alot louder than it was before. The engine sounds good, the noise is coming from under the shifter where it seems the loudest ie the transmmision. its loud and its shaky. could this be caused by a bad tran mount? I thought it may be low tran fluid the dip stickshows full running hot, but I know I lost some fluid when installing the engine. should i change the tran fluid, have a pro change the trans fluid.
