Default Roxanne - 98 JGC 5.2 V8

New to the site and new to owning a Jeep. Loved them all my life, but this is the first one that I've owned. I got her with 128,xxx on the odometer. 1-owner, but was sitting parked for 9 months as you can see from the first few pictures when it was towed to my house. Here's a long list of what I've done so far. I will include more pictures as I continue to modify it. Btw, my daughter (20) came up with the name. No lift. Bridgestone, 30" K02 tires. Big fan of BleepinJeep and Pull-A-Part

Installed a new headliner myself due to GC being smoked in. Smoke smell is now gone!

Went to Black Mountain a few weeks ago and the Grand Cherokee had no problem whatsoever! Going back next weekend.

As you can see I modified the parking lights so that the lights under the headlights come on when the switch is turned to parking lights. IMO, it looks so much better.

Thanks for taking the time to look/read my post. As I do more I'll post more. And there is more that I have planned.

So this weekend, this happened.

Lowered the gear shifter and added a personal touch.
Yes, that's a real rock.

Some new additions to my Jeep are as follows:
Added eagle eye LED's to the running boards and then wired them into the interior lights so that when you open the door or press the unlock button on the remote, they light up.

Also, I ordered some recessed LED lights and placed them in the front bumper.

So since I added the front LED lights in the bumper I now have electrical issues that are causing my hair to fall out!

Windows will not go up or down from ANY of the switches. I ended up "hot-wiring" each door switch to roll them all back up. They are all getting power, but because the driver's side master switch won't work, none of them will work. I've checked all the fuses. I've replaced the 3 circuit breakers in the fuse panel inside the Jeep by the passenger's footwell. I ordered an OBDII scanner to tell me if any switches, relays, etc are bad. Hopefully, I'll get to that tonight.

The automatic headlights stopped working.
The intermittent wipers don't work. Only the full on or high works.
When I close the doors and start to pull away, the interior lights stay on for 1 minute before turning off.
I have no A/C. Was going to add more coolant but the needle immediately went in the red area so it didn't need anymore coolant.

So needless to say, I'm just a bit fed-up with all these issues!

So since I installed the front LED's I've run into electrical problems.

Power windows don't work from the switches.
Intermittent wipers don't work.
Interior lights don't shut off when you put the truck in drive. They go off one minute later.
Automatic headlight feature doesn't work.
A/C doesn't work.

All these things worked before.
Is this the 'joy' of owning a Jeep?!?

So DO NOT remove the center information center. The Jeep didn't like it and caused the above mentioned things to fail, even though they actually worked.
Back to enjoying my Jeep again!

I'm glad you figured it out.

How's the Grand doing today?
