+1
I'd go with a front locker instead.

So, you all vote locker over shocks?

I'm not Clown...I put shocks on my ride, LOL

Let me put it to you all this way...can't use my old shocks. Need new. Can't and won't drive without them.

As much as I regret not doing lockers when I did gears, that's the cards I was dealt.

As much as I'd like to put lockers in, I need to get it streetable now.

I'm already compromising the shocks I want...for the shocks I need.

So there's no question to me. WANT < NEED

That's what I'm sayin'. I like the idea of being able to run them either way. Locked or unlocked - on my terms.

No, I want 7100's...which will go nicely with my needs where I live...open desert, with hairy obstacles in between long distances, as well as mountain terrain, but streetable, and user rebuildable...I want the ability to change valving as needed, as well as rebuild if they go bad...I don't ever want to buy another shock again...unless I have to from damage...the money for them justifies it. However, I can be patient and wait. 51's will get me through a pinch. Like the rest of my build I can WAIT to do it the way I want, but still do it right.

Besides, I can sell them on CL when not needed anymore...spread the love, right?

True that, man. I forgot about the 7100s. Good way to put it too, and I completely understand about wanting to never have to buy another shock again because of them being rebuildable. Makes perfect sense.

Exactly my thinking as well. I swear we are doing the exact same thing, just with some slightly different parts. I also am going with 5100s, but am thinking 7100 might be smarter. I want to get mine going asap though too. Also, I wasn't going to locker right away either because I wanted selectable, but luckily I scored the rubi 44 with the factory selectable. So I know exactly how ya feel.

Solid progress man. It's getting so close.

Thanks! I've been lurking in your thread, but haven't seen much posted...was wondering if you were okay, LOL....

I know exactly how it is, though...real life sucks, haha!!!

I hope to have the axle stuffed this weekend. It has been so dadgum hot though, I have put aside any work during the week for now. And the temps rise pretty quickly once the sun is up.

**** SUMMER

I'm still going strong. Actually have several big pieces done just haven't made an update yet. In the process of moving so it's got me slowed down for a bit.

Agreed on the **** summer part. I only swapped my battery tray yesterday and I was pouring sweat lol
