So with the Rocker Knocker in place...........I had dinner.
.
.

.
.
Knockers in place, I moved on to the steel flare, pretty much needed to match the fronts I did 8 years ago or so........

Shape and spacing worked out......on to templating the filler metal....

The template was a bit sketchy......but, I was working fast and in the end, it worked out pretty good besides the grinding & notching....

Once fitted, I welded it in place, I then shaved....

Ummmm........No........I then shaved as much of the interior wheel well metal out as possible with out adding to much to the work load, rewelded, then gave it all a good dose of seem sealer, sealing up all surfaces I had messed with......(All the yellowish areas).....

So after letting that cure for a few days, it was time to walk the Duplicolor Bed Liner rattle can to it, love this stuff!

My preference for the rattle can is hands down Duplicolor, I also like the Plasti-kote, but it's very hard to find...

Over all, with the limited time I stole, I'm pretty dang happy with the results!

Rear flare's are always a good time.

I still get requests, pm's and emails asking me to go into detail about the round head light conversion......

Really, about all the info I can offer is in this thread, there were very few photo's taken at the time, and even fewer are available due to a crashed compuker.......All I can add is attempt to preplan, remove grill....gut existing square head light area's back to the steel header, I welded in 11ga steel as the head light backer. CJ7 headlight assemblies work great and are cheap & easy to find. My entire nose is wrapped in steel tube, you can finish yours as you choose. It's not too hard, just need a little skill, a plan, and the tools. If your unsure of yourself, start with a junk yard header, cut it up & see how you do!

Great thread, awsome build!
I noticed a custom rear swabar but did not see it detailed in the thread. Seems like that design would work good.

Sway bars (F&R) are from Hellwig Motor Sports, I waited a year for them.
They were to be a general production item, but after pricing which included the disconnects, they felt they couldn't be competitive price wise, everything including the disco's were built in house in SoCal.

The 'Van.......it took on an electrical issue, loooong looooooong story short, and a crap load of reading, reading more......digging even deeper into the mystery that makes many Fords run like crap from the 90's.....I stumbled on a tech thread hidden deep in a Ford forum...........which suggested a leaking capacitor in it's ECM/ECU.......75 cents later, I can throw down a 150 foot runner on the pavement! Fixed!! More to come on the 'Lost Dakota' van project! On a side note, while researching the electrical issue, repair shops even asking for help......I was amazed how many gave up and scrapped their Ford not able to find the proper repair......Never give up, always do your research!!

That's not a ladder, that's a tire carrier made to look like a ladder.

Good stuff!! Damn electronics! Question, is Detours by chance going to offer any quarter panel armor like you have done to your sweet rig there? integrated toolbox or not? (it would hurt to cut that box out of the body, I bet!) I definitely want some armor like that though at some point down the line.
