Nice. I was up at McConnell with the KC135s. I was Vehicle Ops, so I got to deal with my fair share of flight crews. I kinda miss it, but my life is great on the side of the uniformOriginally Posted by Matthew Reed

Great build! I just ran through the whole thing again, I need to step up my game on the detail work.
Unless I missed it, I didn't see anything about which hood vents you are using. I like the set up.

Thanks man! The hood vents are from Rod Louvers. Originally Posted by TX RamRod

Love them. I put a plate to cover the TPS to prevent water damage as I've seen on instagram that it has been an issue for previous owners of these louvers
Having a heck of a time with my exhaust "update"
the precats are a butthole to find, the front pipe i have already but it has a flange that the flowmaster muffler doesnt have on it. I guess the best route would be to return to walker front pipe and get one that doesnt have the walker cats on it. Also my current precats are welded to the front pipe so i cant simply unbolt the front pipe from the precats. Its all one piece from the precats to the regular cat

Flange

No flange

I'm dealing with the same issue in my 2000 project. I have to replace everything from the headers back and I'm not having much luck finding any good replacements. I was thinking I'd go wth the walker precats and pipe and then go custom back from there.

Cut the flange off the pipe and use exhaust clamps to attach it to the muffler, or take the muffler to an exhaust shop and see if they can weld a flange to it, assuming you can find a flange that would work, they might have some at the shop hopefully.

I still dont get why yours doesnt have a flange and mine does. But I am with Kyle. Just lop it off and weld on a flange. I am pretty sure its a standard 3 bolt flange. I can get you center to center bolt hole dimension off mine if you want. I probably even have a flange I could mail you. Just let me know!

Yea I reckon I could do that, but I still have to attach the front pipe to some sort of precat set up. So I ether need to weld a flange got he current precats or get a new set up with a flange that will match the walker front pipe Originally Posted by kyle96xj

Once I decide what CAT i want to go with I’ll either get one with a flange or I’ll take you up on that offer!Originally Posted by 5-Speed

Mmmmmnope... you cut and weld in the flange AFTER the pre-cats. It's supposed to go between the pre-cats and the cat. That way, you have your exhaust manifold bolting into the pre-cats, the pre-cats y-ing off into the downtube that's flanged, the flange is bolted to the down tube (or crossover tube), down tube bolts into the catalytic converter flange, and then whatever you're wanting to do from there whether your muffler is welded in, or flanged and bolted, or clamped in, etc, etc.Originally Posted by Joecam18
