The problem probably lies more in your rim's back spacing than lift. It looks like it's clearing though tight. Usually rub issues at 3" and 31s I'd running the control arms because of stock backspacing.

Everyone has rubbing with larger tires and a mild lift. Its the fact that the wheel size changes, yet the wheel-well opening doesn't. Soon as the suspension compresses, its the same as being at stock height with 31s.

Just read about trimming, and you'll be glad you did. I took the more 'go wild' approach, which you can see in my build thread. You don't have to go that route, just trim the stock bumper trimming and you'll be good.

Thanks for the info. Who knows. I may just end up with new bumpers on the front and back to solve the problem.

Thanks man. And yeah, I was wondering about the backspacing. The tires now stick out about 1" past the flares, so that could very well be the issue, and the one downside of running Rubicon wheels.

Alright guys, I'm trying to install a hitch so I can mount the Knucklebone from Detours. I can't get the bolt off that holds the exhaust. What should I do?

I sprayed for a week with PB blaster, trying to turn it daily. It FINALLY turned, but it wont come out, it just spins. I'm short on heavy duty tools. What are my options?

Finally got the hitch installed. What a mess. Rear bolt that held the exhaust on was stripped inside. Did everything, wouldn't come out. Eventually cut out a notch on the hitch so I wouldn't have to pull the bumper off & insert out. This has been a 2 week process trying to figure out the best course of action. I finally got it.

Anyway, I found out Curt makes hitches in OEM Jeep paint colors. I found this Stone White model on Amazon for only $80 + free shipping. Hard to beat that deal.

Finding it hard to get motivated to do anything to the Jeep when it's in the teens outside. Rough winter. House is looking good though.

Tire Carrier installed. My U-bolt broke so I'm having to use ratchet straps until I can get it replaced.

I also painted my rubicon wheels Gunstock Gray.

Tonight I moved my license plate to the right and put a magnetic LED light above it. I'll try to take a picture tomorrow.

Rear license plate relocated:

Size: 79.6 KB (magnetic LED light not pictured because daytime.)

I got a 3-ft x 1-3/8-in Plated Steel Slotted Metal Flat Bar

4 rubber grommets to keep the off of the paint. (I'll check on the size later today)

Two 1/4-20 x 2" machine screws

Two 1/4-20 x .5" machine screws

Two acorn nuts.

1 magnetic LED light.

Biggest problem I can foresee is that I'll have to remember to put the light on every time I drive at night, which shouldn't be too often since we usually take the wife's Xterra. But even that only takes an extra 5 seconds so it's not a huge hassle.
