Just trim it. You'll really appreciate the extra space up front & the look afterwards. You can drill out the rivets for the pointless front splitter/spoiler and then remove it, and then the end caps on the front bumper can be trimmed with a sharp blade heated up. There's plenty of write-ups on the subject of trimming the stock bumper.

For the rubbing, definitely trim the fenders - that was one of the best/cheapest/easiest mod I did (unless you trim up past the pinch seam, requiring welding which makes it no longer "easiest", but still worthwhile).

This is a great idea, I'm totally going to get some of these!

Is there a write up in the how to section? I may head over and take a look.

If your rubbing on the front, there's not much you can do.
Everyone has rubbing with larger tires and a mild lift. Its the fact that the wheel size changes, yet the wheel-well opening doesn't. Soon as the suspension compresses, its the same as being at stock height with 31s.
Just read about trimming, and you'll be glad you did. I took the more 'go wild' approach, which you can see in my build thread. You don't have to go that route, just trim the stock bumper trimming and you'll be good.

I have a little bit of writing/pics on fender trimming in my build, but it looks like you're rubbing on the bumper caps. I was rubbing and cut my caps when I first got my XJ with a jig saw, it was pretty easy, but I ended up taking them the whole way off not long after. I think I just marked it out with a Sharpie and cut.
