New 33s
Started trimming my fenders for my new 33x12.50 Firestone MTs Friday night,Did the usual cut and fold on the rear pretty happy with it but I am wondering if I trimmed enough on the front fenders.I trimmed off the the first lip that had the factory flare holes,is this enough ya think?4.5'' of lift btw.I put washers in the steering stops so no rubbing when at full turn. Can anybody with a similar lift and tire combo remember how much they cut up on the front? And I have some hockey pucks I plan on using for bump stops.

hey man, nice build! I had 33s on a 4.5" lift also. That looks like it will work just fine. If you have to cut anymore, it will be behind the front tires on the bottom part of the fender. I actually ran 35s also down the trails and had no rubbing issues.

Quote: I picked up my sliders last night and painted them when I got home. Then I installed them today.Just drilled out the holes where I wanted them on the pinch weld used 5 5/16th bolts w locking washers on each pinch and the main leg that goes to the unibody is 4 3/8th self threaders on each.Very happy with them and for sure will be buying some more stuff from Mayhem.Heres a list of the stuff I used to install,I just copied what another large off road company uses on their sliders.16-3/8 x 2'' self thread screws.10-5/16 x 1 1/4(trim these off after you finish tightening them) 10-5/16 nuts,10-5/16 flat washers and 10 5/16 lock washers. And a 5/16 bit for pilot holes for the self threaders and for the bolts in the pinch.
Those look awesome!! I love the simple look, they look like they came from the factory... Whered ya get em?

Quote: I mounted my full size spare on my roof basket, now it rubs the top of my garage door when I pull it inside.I guess I have to stop lifting now or make it sleep outside!
EZ fix...just trim the garage doors the same way you would trim your fenders...problem SOLVED!!! lol

BTW nice build man.

Decided to pull it up on the back deck(thats what their for right?girl friend says its not.)Tires looked a lil too close for comfort in the front, so I trimmed a little bit more...I think it will be fine now, thats as much as I can go without relocating the wind shield washer reservoir or doing some funky angle right behind the rear of the front tires.Should be a little more t flex than in these pics, just to lazy to pull it back up there
