So what's the next planned project for the ZAV-XJ-001?

Alright guys. For all of you who have proclaimed you have your respective locations "covered", it's time to step up to the plate. Follow the link in my signature to join the Zombie Response Jeep Club and apply to be issued our official individually numbered decal.

I haven't done much to the ZAV lately. I did get a nice Zombie gun though, I mounted a scope on it yesterday. Still need to sight it in. The rifle is a 1935 M91/30 aka Mosin-Nagant. Scope is 3x9x40 with 6" eye relief. Notice the awesome "tuna can"? 440 rounds of 7.62.54R. Plenty of fire power to pop Zombie heads at distance.

Very nice Mossin. Did you clean and stain it yourself or did you buy it like that? My buddy has one, very nice to shoot.

I actually found it that way. One of the nicest Mosin stocks I've ever seen. Only $200 with the 440 rounds of ammo.

No updates on ZXJ-OH01 as of late.

But I'd like you to meet ZWJ-OH01:

Picked that up today. It's a 100% completely unmolested '02 with 140k.

I love the build. I have a 2dr atx and a 4dr 5speed. I will be using some of your ideas, you're a great inspiration and example on not having to pay top dollar to accomplish certain goals. Thanks for sharing your build with us.

How did you attach that roof rack to your Jeep? I found it on ebay, just wondering before I order. Also, what did you use for your gun rack? Thanks

Plus you have a bayonet you can stab them with if you run out of ammo.........How is the bolt-action clearance with the scope mounted?
From this angle it looks awfully close?

Thanks, I traded my '97 DeVille for it straight up.

Thanks a lot man. Glad to see people can appreciate a build like this. It's not hard to make a cool Jeep when you can spend 20k. The rack I have came with 6 of the rain channel mounts.

That bayonet is a nasty little knife lol. Still sharp as hell. The clearance is just enough for my thumb to wrap around the bolt without my knuckle hitting the scope.

The reason why I asked, is that I have the exact same gun, with bayonet.....

I am trying to decide which gun to put a scope on.......The Mosin, or
Czech built 8mm Mauser.........

Did you mount the scope yourself? What scope mount did you use?
Have you had a chance to shoot it yet?
I am curious how accurate it is?

This is my current Zombie hunting weapon of choice......

It's a Winchester Series-1 Model 88, .308
It was handed down to me by my Dad before he passed away. He used to hunt deer with it in northern NY.
It is deadly accurate at 100yds, but since it only has a 4X scope on it, it's hard to aim at ranges beyond that.
I plan on putting a bigger scope on it, and hopefully doing some Elk hunting................or Zombies, since I got my permits

My current supply of Zombie hunting/protection supplies

Hopfully bayonets will be effective vs zombies....

Seeing them guns with bayonets is making me wish I had kept my ol' 1951 russian SKS around.
