Love the build man, I just bought my first XJ, picking it up on Friday, going to probably go the same route you did so I will have Northern New Jersey covered. Keep up the awesome work.

Still loving this thing man.

As for the rear quarter windows and a cage/mesh, I'm working on getting a dog kennel and cutting chunks of the mesh to attach to the body inside and have the mounts covered by the interior moldings.

Just my idea for it, I'm looking for a used rear animal separator for the hatch area too.

Thanks Pal. I went the ebay route on flares. This is strictly a budget build for me. Just a play toy that I can run over zombies with and not have to worry about blood and brains on my expensive parts.

I trimmed fenders front and rear, also trimmed plastic bumper caps in the front.

That sounds like a plan!

I like those ideas a lot, no worries of your gear goes slapping around the back of your rig. I just added a new " to do " to my long list. Haha

I think this weekend I'm going to start on my cargo area. I'm going to go ahead and remove the bottom of the rear bench and just keep the top folded down flat. I picked up a nice cargo net out of an Expedition today.

You will love my ZRV then. I made my own biohazard bumper caps. Also made my own front plate.

Notice the doubletap on the windshield.
