Project wannabe Jeepspeed
So I ditched my '88 and picked up this '98 for $3k. She has power everything, sunroof, ice cold a/c and 124k miles, perfect candidate for my new build. I'm planning on doing something similar to a jeepspeed setup, bedcage with fox shocks, full traction 6" long arm kit, deavers, fiberglass fenders and so forth... Here is some pics from the day I picked it up, she's pretty clean.

Some progress from the weekend.. Got the deavers and full traction shackles and doing plates installed. Put my previously built Ford 8.8 LSD rear axle in it. Installed the SYE from rugged ridge and had to replace the aluminum shift fork due to some scarring. Got the factory control arm mounts cut out and the full traction ones installed and ready to be welded.

Planning on completely bracing up the D30 while I have it out. Artec truss and C gussets, beef up and box link mounts/track bar mount and so forth.

So here's some pics of the upper and lower front shock mounts. They're going to be part of the tubular subframe that's going to run along the frame rails for a stiffening system

I'm hoping she'll turn out okay, I'll be updating the build this weekend with more work to the rear end. I'm gonna try to get the rear shock hoop done but we'll see!
