haha... they're safer if his old tires were bald, had dry rot, and/or bulges/bubbles in the sidewall

I know the feeling man... when I got my jeep, the PO had somehow managed to bend 3 of the rims on it... one of them bad enough to bend the inside and outside rim as well as cause the sidewall to bulge on both sides at the site of the bend... tire would constantly leak air - didn't realize it was low one day and took off really quick trying to get across an intersection - spun the tire on the rim... I was lucky it didn't come apart. Then I mysteriously got a gash in the sidewall and told my wife I didn't want her driving it under any circumstances until I got new tires for it....

Got a set of GY Wrangler RTS's... I love these tires - not a real aggressive tire, but they have certainly surprised me with their versatility... and they're not noisy at all... in fact, they give off less noise than my cooper cobras did.

Well, the only one that I was aware was bent was the right rear with that nasty sidewall bulge... so I replaced that one only to find out that two of the other ones were bent when the new tires were mounted... they're not bent bad enough and I'm going to probably replace all of them with a black set once I get my lift and new tires (eventually).

I like noisy tires too... hoping for some more aggressive tires once I'm in the market.

Not quite sure yet... I think once I get my 31's I may just go with some cheap soft 8's or maybe a set of blackrocks... once I go 33's, I plan on getting the KMC XD Hoss 17x9's or maybe the M/T Sidebiters but I really like the Hoss's
