Ah, we'll see. I'll only have about 4 inches of up-travel so we'll see. Flex is over rated.

So I started cutting sheet metal last night. I need to flex this thing out to measure for shocks in the rear and figure out my mounting location. I cut the wheel wheels out to fit the 38's, and removed the back half of the rear wheel tub on the inside. I think my rear shocks will end up going through the floor in the wheel wells. I'll get some pics as I mock them up.

Checking clearance.

At this point I would be on my bump stops.. sooo.... the tires shouldn't be into the body any at full bump. Once I get the shocks mounted i'll get me some sheet metal and build some new inner wheel wells.

Thanks. Those are all the Moab trails/obstacles I completed last year. None this year yet (obviously) But I plan on adding some!

And yeah, the purple Jeep is pimp style.

Well the wife had to work last night, I had the kids and I hate to do grinding/welding work while trying to watch the kids at the same time, so I decided to start mounting the pre runner fenders. These will help with tire coverage, and they look cool. So why not.

They cover almost half the tire... which is better than none.

This is where I trimmed the front to clear the tires...

Couple mock up pics...

I like the fender lines from the front a lot.

I then pulled them back off. Going to get them fixed up and painted this weekend hopefully.

Before I go out and die of the heat again today I thought I'd throw up some pics of my progress from yesterday. I yanked the nine inch back out for some final gusseting/bracing, clean up and paint.

Built some skids on the bottom of the lower brackets...Name: mms_picture13.jpg

Then my Pinion guard from Ruffstuff showed up, so I bolted that on. This thing is beef!

Welded up some small buckets to help keep the coil centered at the frame side., before it was just the bolt and the coil could slide around. These will keep them centered.

Then... my buddy and I decided to paint the links. So I busted out some Glamour turquoise paint! Haha. Few coats of color, couple coats of clear.. and WALA! Blingin Links! Not so sure if i'm digging them yet. Then we hung the rear axle back under.

Haha. Yeah, I was close to going discs. But figured why not just leave em.

I do have to confess, my old man did 90 % of the install. Basically he did in 20 minutes what would have taken me 2 hours.

Thanks pops.

Yeah buddy! Fabbed some quick shock mounts. Upper mount will be in factory location, lower will be on the outer side of the arm. Obviously the upper isn't bolted up in that pic. But that is where it will sit. Should finish the front shocks tonight and get going on the rears.

Ordered these... 12" of travel, RS9000XL's, 9 way adjustable, should be here today.
