OK so in August this year I bought my long awaited first Jeep, She is a 2001 Cherokee Sport, 4.0, 4x4, 93,500 miles on her, Auto, d30 front and c8.25 rear
I'm forgetting stuff so just ask and i'll tell.
The previous owner was nice enough to buy these wheels and tire and a rusty's throttle body spacer with intake for her a few months before giving her up.
I'll post so stuff to get it up to date and I hope I can keep up with some of these guys on here.
Let me know what you think, your ideas to make it better, and just whatever.

So the first thing I did was go on a family trip down to the four corners area, Moab, and Monument Valley. I soon noticed that stock height wasn't going to work. my back drivers side wheel was about four inches off the ground and I knocked the fender off the other side. good excuse for a lift. my nephew had a hard time getting back in by himself but he loved every moment of it.

Well I had to make a choice on whether to do a budget lift or pay a little more and do a bigger lift. well I realized my rear leafs were worn out and i didn't feel like adding a leaf and If i decided to do a long arm i didn't want to have to buy a complete lift again.
A friend of mine recommended me to the RC lifts and helped me choose what to get. I figure to make it a long arm (future plan?) it would only cost me about three hundred more then if I would have gone with it to begin with.
I did choose to go with their performance 2.2 shocks and while I was at it I went with the 2.2 steering stabilizer.

I did have a problem with where the tie rod and the steering arm meet was hitting the sway bar discos but the people at RC are awesome and they sent me a one inch pitman arm drop fo free. I also had a weird pop in the rear on the passenger side that we couldn't figure out. So I installed the bar pin eliminators to see if that worked. but no suck luck. I figure it must have been a bushing settling in or something but the pop is now gone. (not sure if I should be more worried that the pop is gone or not.)

So just like anyone else I had to see what the flex was and I learned that Discos are the shiz. they make all the difference. I figured I would head to my parents house and put some landscaping rock to use.
it is in no way near the bump stops (guess I'll have to find a real place to flex.

ok so a few things put into one. I was owed so cash for so work done but he didn't have any on hand so he told me to buy some stuff off ebay and he would pay. well i hate seeing the orange on the front and side marker and the tail lights so I bought some smoked markers for the front and some black euro lights for the back. I love how much it changed it.
After that I decided that the moldings and the badges needed to come off. faded black plastic es no bueno.
I think it look a thousand times better. and i threw on some flag magnets that I had sitting around. oh and how could I forget the decals on the rear window.

Ya. they were the biggest that could fit on it stock. they have less then six months on them but now i'm looking to trade or sale them, I wanna go 32's
and I haven't really decided if I want to go all out on this or buy a 96 xj for $500 (price kinda explains the shape its in) and just go custom on it.

A few mods to the interior. I added a three cell mag to the passenger side and a four cell that fit perfect in the spot in the back. I also decided on a slow day to add some color to the dash, and finally I picked up the storage box in the back for 25 bucks at a local hardware store (i've seen it at home depot also). the box is sweet cause it has places for tiedowns on both sides and can lock. back there is also a yellow ammo can that I use to keep my tow chain in and the green ammo can for whatever else (it has the ammo can organizer in it which is nice) I also bought a tool set from costco for 100 bucks and I was completely satisfied with it. (used it and a few other tools to put my lift and everything else on)
