tried to get an inspection done today and they wouldnt pass me cause me e-brake sux(witch i fixed already) and aparently i still have an exhuast leak at the manifold AGAIN

i sea foamed the engine to see where it was coming from and it looks like is coming from 3,4, or 5. im gonna try an cheat it by laying down a bead of high temp RTV around al the mating edges of the manifold since i dont really have the time to pull the damn thing apart right now, works really busy right now.

but i did manage to get the driver side zj plugs wired up just in time for it to rain for the next 3 days so no doorless till the weekend

went and got my inspection done somewhere else and fail for different reasons

but they were issues i could fix: wiper blade, exhaust tip

slapped on a new duralst wiper blade, and messed with my exhaust (AGAIN!!!) to get the 2.5" tip i bought to fit with out hitting any thing, i had to hack off the leaf spring shackle bolt to get enough clearance

Project Scarlett: taking my time and doing it right the first time-2014-09-09-10.36.49.jpg

so the jeeps finaly inspected, lol

rolled doorless for a day before a week of rain

Project Scarlett: taking my time and doing it right the first time-2014-09-06-18.46.24.jpg

gonna buy some lumber this weekend and built a "coat rack" for my doors, something i can wheel out to the jeep(i have to park across/down the street, and the doors have to stay out side) hang the doors on, it strap them down, wheel it back, and tarp it

hopefully going to get my oil and ATF changed this weekend too

welp my taurus fan is going out, hope fully it holds out for another week before completely dying, im working 14 hr days 7 days a week right now and have nooooo time to redo my fan lol.

next tuesday ill hit the junk yard and pick up a volvo fan(same as the taurus fan but the fan and grate are removable from the shroud) and an extra fan controller as a back up, and as much wiring as i can scavange from it.

heres all i have/need for rewireing it

-SAAB in line temp switch adapter for the upper rad hose
- volvo controller
-volvo fan
- beck arnley temp switch for a 90s porsche(205 low-215 high)
-vw pig tail for temp switch
- a realy to kill the fan when i need to

should be easy and ill have better more consistant cooling compare to the temp probe for my current set up

I'd love to hear what specific donor vehicles some of these parts end up coming out of.
