Default Project: Rollover, a recovery story

so about 2 days ago i was looking on craigslist and found a 1995 jeep cherokee sport listed for $1500 went down to look at it, did a test drive, and all was well, a great mechanically sound jeep, that was rolled.. after some talking i bought the Jeep for $700 =D the jeep came with an internal roll cage which obviously did its job which i was happy about (the girlfriend liked that too)

so yesterday i thought replacing the hatch would be a good place to start, so i took the hatch off my 88 along with the passenger door. both hatches were removed with ease. the 88 hatch and door were loaded in the back of the 95 and held in with a very interesting system or straps and rope haha

Maybe it is just the pictures but the damage doesn't seem bad for a roll over... looks like a good project though that PO probably dropped some coin on that cage.

as of right now i just want to get the body looking decent, my 88 has a lot of mechanical problems so the damaged 95 pieces will be replaced with the 88 ones.

i love driving it even how it looks now haha i think its gonna be a fun project to get it looking good again, and seeing as how it IS drivable i have no stress about having it down for any period of time.

after some banging and bending with the sledge hammer, the rear hatch was replaced. some fine tuning is still needed to get it to open and close with ease but i think its a good start!
