yesterday I went and rescued the fair lady and took her off to await some repair. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to bring her all the way back to greenville with me yesterday, but she is safe at a friends place near Charleston. I did have enough time to look the jeep over some and check some general item. Unfortunately she does have a blown head gasket and there is some noise from the bottom end when running. I hope to find a used 4.0 and drop it in. If anyone would like updates I can post them here, or I could make a new thread.

moved it from where it was stored 3 hours away up to my parents house where the heart transplant will take place. Cleaned it up a little and tried messing with the fog lights, but I think they're done for. Hopefully
I can start the heart transplant soon, but we'll see. I have a lot on my plate for winter break.

Started getting some stuff off, but it started raining. Got the rear driveshaft out which needs u-joints, got the warn lights off the front (I'll try to see if I can get them working again, but figured the extra room would be nice for pulling the motor), track bar bolt is loose, but I won't worry about it till I get the motor swap done.
Started raining so I called it quits for the day. I'll probably just do a little at a time since I spend all day working on other people's cars.

got the motor that's going in it torn down mostly. Swapping valve covers, water pump, thermostat housing, timing cover, doing the rear main seal, and re sealing the oil pan. Hopefully it'll be a leak free decently running motor. A few friends are coming over Saturday and I hope to have the old motor out and the new motor in by the end of the day.

Got the new motor resealed, finished pulling the old motor and got the new one bolted in today. I was thinking about trying to finish it this weekend, but working 5 days a week at a shop and working on my own stuff on the weekends has kinda burned me out a bit. I may relax the rest of this weekend and slowly work on it after work some.

Oh, also forgot to mention the axle sitting in front of it will be going in. 29 spline 8.25 with ruff stuff diff cover and a lunch box locker. Nothing too special or great, but a small upgrade.

Rear axle is just in by loose u bolts right now. Hardest part was getting the locking lug nuts off without the right socket. The u bolts just take so long to do by hand and my impact sucks and won't spin them off so I called it a day.
