Well I had a rattling somewhere up in the front end. I had no idea what it is. I took a quick listen and I knew it wasn't the motor. I figured maybe it was just the exhaust rattling. Then I asked a friend (Pat) to listen and see what he could figure out. He thought it was either the flex plate or loose torque converter bolts. I was really sweating because I couldn't afford to be out my second vehicle. Him and I took a look and sure enough it was just loose torque converter bolts so we tightened them down. Thankfully it was only that.
While I was under the jeep I also noticed something else. I have the Rough County Long Arm setup. on the tcase skid addition there are a few bolts the bolt the the crossmember. Then there are two self tapers that go into the frame rail. Well in one of my two last wheeling trips I ended up loosing the two self tapers. I hated that design anyway and now I just confirmed why. Ill have to do something to remedy that.
Also picked these up today. I needed some new ones.

Well got the Kayak rack back on. Went out a bunch this weekend. Had some good pics of the scenery, but almost rolled my kayak and out went my camera. Just got that camera and used it twice haha (olympus tough!).

haha thanks Busted.
John, great minds do think a like! The only thing that I am super pissed at myself for right now is losing my new Olympus Tough camera! There went $200 bucks... O well, my fault for being careless I guess. And I dont need a grill. After I built my bumper, I need to trim out my grill because I tucked up the winch nice and close. Just haven't had time to do so hahaha. My buddy actually gave me three spare grills when he saw I still didn't have mine on just incase I messed it up haha. So now I have four sitting around. Thanks though

So, while it was still nice out I had an itching to work on the jeep before the storm came in. I wanted to do something that shouldn't have taken to long, so I decided to install my 99+ side view mirrors. I know its nothing special, but I like that they can fold in. I took a bunch of pics with the camera I didn't lose.

Top is 99+ installed, bottom in hand is the old style.

Looks good.. i personally would LOVE an autodarkening side view for the XJ. I get blinded when someone comes up alongside me.. espescially with HID's.
Wonder if the 97+ helps with the glare as they seem wider?
