Picked up a hydro assist setup thanks to Cholthauss.

 

Also picked up a 78 d60. And the fun begins with grinding off all the brackets. Ran out of accetalyn on the first bracket so fun with the angle grinder it is.

 

Installed rear frame stiffeners.

Thanks. Going with a 14 bolt. Having a hell of a time trying to find one tho. A few months ago there was a ton of them for sale around me. Now that I'm trying to buy one there's nothing out there of course.

 

Finish pic of the rear stffeners. Used chassis saver satin black this time. Its a little glossier than I expected but I like it.

 

And the new shackle angle with iron man brackets and Chevy shackles. This is my first attempt. Probably gonna move it forward a hole.

 

Got some rear leafs from a 98 Tahoe. Cleaned em up and painted em with the chassis saver and put some poly bushings in them. Should stretch the rear 4 or 5 inches.

 

Got my fuel cell installed too.

 

Used a e2000 fuel pump and a Russell prefilter.

 

When I bought the front 60 the guy said it had brand new 5.13 gears new spool and new bearings. Well the gears and spool wher new but I found this shim jammed in there when I started looking at it and no way were the bearings new so I ripped everything apart and ordered a master install and attempted to set the gears up myself the right way.

 

Here's the final pattern I got after seting up the gears properly. I'm happy with it. Especially being my first gear setup. Hopefully its doesn't blow up on me.

 

 

Replaced the king pins since they were all pitted and looked original. Was actually pretty easy getting them out by welding a piece of scrap to them and hammering them out.

 

Finally putting this thing together.
