I starting making a mock up for unibodu tie ins the other day, then stumbled upon a friend that had some laying around. $20? Deal! Haha. Might cut up my stock bumper into a stubby, idk yet.

I wanted a different color but had a full can of black laying around so why not.
Went to Bundy Hill Sunday, to not wheel. Literally, my alternator went out on me and killed my battery right in the stupid parking lot. Talk about mad...lol. All fixed now though, odd thing is my buddy's alternator and my boyfriend's TJ alternator is going out too. All after that trip. Haha. Well I got a job so hopefully I can have some good updates coming soon

Went to Jeep Blessing this weekend in Copemish, MI. Had a blast! Never knew how many Jeeps there are here until then haha. It was pretty awesome seeing some nice rigs there. After blessing we went and wheeled at Twisted Trails ORV, I really liked it there. My Jeep got her first official bit of trail damage haha.

Trying to go between two trees on the climb without causing damage. Lol.

While I hopped out to take pics of being stuck my boyfriend decided to take my Jeep and get through there. He couldn't. Then he went another way and put dents in my Jeep...

Last night I decided to take the front doors off the XJ. Its getting warm here in Michigan finally so I've been itching to do it. Not hard at all, but I unbolted mine, not the cutting my pins method. Too chicken for that just yet. Haha.

Pulled the Jeep in my garage and built a hoist of ratchet straps.

Unbolted door and unplugged electronics.

Viola! Door off!

Passenger side same thing

And done.

Not too hard a little time consuming obviously. But nights like last night I had nothing better and it was my first time doing so as well. Driver's side was easy I just had to figure out where the plugs and stuff were, once I did it was smooth sailing on that side. The bad part was I had to cut my speaker wire BUT that was ONLY because someone actually wired them in, wasn't factory. Not sure why. Passenger side I had a little trouble getting to the plugs.

Wasn't that hard at all. Ill have to look at the size torx bit I used, but it easily fit in along with a 3/8" drive ratchet. Just gotta hold the door as wide open as it goes to get in there.

Yeah I'm too scared to do the drop in style yet because I don't want the sag. But I definitely agree, drive the boyfriend's TJ doorless first doorless. Which made me decide I want that too, but its very different in the XJ. But I still like it, just gotta get used to the looks you get haha.

How are those RC long arms holding up? I already have 4.5" RE springs in the shop and was planning on running a RE long arm setup, but I'm starting to consider RC because of the $400 price difference. I've heard a lot of smack about RC, but want to hear from someone that ACTUALLY runs their long arms.

Like the no doors look BTW

Thanks! I like their long arms haven't had any issues out of those. Just the rough shocks and end links that seems to loosen themselves up. (solved the end link issue with some lock tite though). My boyfriend has RC long arms on his TJ, he had a small issue with them, but RC resolved it with a replacement. The flex joint end has a 2 piece bushing, snap ring, and a threaded plate. That and the snap ring hold the bushing in, and so the threaded plate doesn't move it has a tiny set screw. That set screw didn't go in all the way and the plate loosen as did the bushing. The threads on it all was ruined because it happened while we were out wheeling, so we called them up and told them what happened they sent us two new ends to replace it. Since then though both has ran smooth.

It all happened so quickly...I stole my boyfriend's 35s!
(He is getting rid of his Jeep soon probably)

So after vacation I will be hunting down stronger axles and regearing those. Then get them in. If push comes to shove ill just regear my stock ones until something breaks, while hunting down axles. A buddy of mine has done pretty good on 35s and stock axles so far, lockers F&R too.

Damn that thing looks huge!

Glad to hear the RC long arms are holding up well. Hope to pull the trigger on a set in the next few weeks.

Did two wheel bearings recently (piece of cake) now I've gotta do my steering box. I'm just gonna opt for the Durango box since it'll be more of an upgrade. After that I'm going to get to saving up for gears and finally get that done.

Went last weekend and pulled a Durango steering box from the yard. Hopefully get that on before hitting Silver Lake this Sunday. Oh and got my tie ends on so I can have some front recovery again yay! (well after I put my hooks on)
