For a little peace of mind I picked up a ZJ tie rod from the junkyard and threw that on. Along with some 2" coil spacers since my springs seem to be getting tired. I think it's a little high in the front, but we'll see one it's settled though. This is with the stock insulators too, so at worst I'll cut those out lol.
Got my d-ring tabs, just got to take a couple of final measurements and it'll be ready for completion. 10 days to go! |

Might not get painted until afterwards but almost there, just need to drill holes and get hardware. :cowboy:

Got it all Herculined, did the crossmember behind the bumper too along with where the tie-ins are.

Went to Bundy Hill off-road park a few weeks ago and acquired some new damage, oops. Broke my windshield, both tail lights, mirror, some new dents and scratches and dented the housing on my KC light as well as breaking the cover. Haha.
In other news, I got a new muffler-back exhaust and picked up a 7120 head to start building. There probably won't be any updates on the head until winter give or take. |

Sorry this has gone silent for a while some things have happened. I'll start with the good stuff. i got some pictures of that head I got for it, before the tear down of it and cleanup, but nonetheless here's the pictures.

Traded my roof rack for a bored throttle body, it's not i ever used it anyway. I don't have any pictures of that though lol. I did manage replace those ROUGH Country shocks up front with some Fox shocks and I loved them. So much better having a quality shock, I would definitely buy them again. A buddy of mine made some bar pin eliminators as well.
As for the not so good update, this build thread on my behalf has officially came to an end. I sold the Jeep back in December since it wasn't getting wheeled a lot (maybe 5 times last year if I was lucky) and it made me sad, but i didn't see the point in having a lot of money and time sitting around like that. Especially if someone else will use it more. Also sold our tow rig too, since the Jeep was sold there wasn't any point in having. I did buy an 02 Grand Cherokee so i still have a Jeep around, but its not going to be modified like this one. Thank you everyone for the kind words and following this build. Happy Jeeping! |
