Awesome! You are my kind of people! lol. No worries about the long explanation. I like to hear this stuff. Looks like I'll be on Facebook a little bit more now!

I'm the same way though. I LOVE my XJ. It's not perfect, but it's mine. My girlfriend always tells me how I love my XJ more than her, and in a way I kinda do. My XJ never lets me down, and doesn't ***** at me when I forget to take out the trash, and best of all... I can ride her as much as I want!!!

Thanks again! As you already know, I'll be following, and hope you follow mine once I get it going.

Now if only our XJs could cook..... and good to hear, of course I'll follow. I'm following most of the active ones on here. May not post much in all of them, but I read every post.

On a build related note, I was planning on picking up an S10 steering box, but I may have just come into a deal for a barely used AGR box that is too good to pass up.

Just bought the AGR box for $115 shipped. Took a little bit of a gamble since I couldn't see it in person, but it's $500 new so I'll take a chance. Looks good to go.

By the way use promo code CMOTORS616 for $20 off any auto part, accessory, or tool on ebay until the 24th

Nice little haul today to add to the stockpile

Ditched the red Flatlink for a grey one and Synergy C-gussets

Battery cable upgrade from XJwonders. Very nicely done. Thanks again Neal!

More battery gains with a battery tray from Dirtbound as well as their leaf spring plates with bump stop mounts. Undecided on a battery, but I've heard good things about the Exide AGM so I may give that a try. Narrowed it down to the Exide, Odyssey, or XS Power.

And last, but not least I found this in the box underneath the battery tray from Dirtbound. Takes the cake for the most random bonus freebie I've ever received. I'm not sure what they are trying to tell me, but I guess I need to find a CD player to play this in...

If you could do a write up, or have a link for one, for that battery cable install, that would be sick

He does this with all his mail orders...something different every time. Reason enough to give them the biz, LOL

I have never received one...cuz I picked all my stuff up personally, before they moved...miss them already, haha

Told ya, Max is a stellar dude

BTW if that isn't the nail in the coffin for physical media, nothing is, ROFL

Also cool backstory. Checking it out now.

Here's a little diagram. This is also the person to buy your cables from (XJWonders). Whole thread has some solid info.

Not too terrible. About $100 shipped. Can definitely make your own a little cheaper, but that would require time which is a commodity I don't mind paying a little extra for sometimes. Especially considering how well done this one is.

Nice! Yeah definitely worth that. Where'd you get it? I looked briefly on Amazon and only found kits without wire, relays or fuses. Did that all come in one kit?

About to hit the garage now. Maybe I can be productive.

I did some reading and looking around before I bought one. There are several people that make them. This guy has been doing it the longest and has good reviews.
