im looking to build a new front bumper, just a standard off road bumper with d rings nothing special

im looking to buy a welder but dont have the money for a lincoln or actual nice one. would this one be good enough to weld a bumper?

I built my bumper, and I am a welder for 15 years. From my experience, the harbor freight welders just doesn't cut it out.

I know u don't want to spend a pay check on a welder, why don't u wait for few paychecks and save a little from each, and buy a quality welder.

Because after buying the HF welder and after some time, u probably would end up buying another one.

Look at Craigslist. There's a lot of good welders for great deals.

90 amps isn't enough to weld 1/4 thick steel. It's probably enough to weld on body panels and stuff

I have that exact welder at home. My dad bought it for little odds and ends around the house. I used it to build my roof rack and rear tire carrier. The carrier is made from 2" square 1/8" thick. That welder did fine with that and has held up quite well. But I wouldn't trust it for anything thicker than that.
