Thanks guys!!
Vids will be a while off, but I will get some WOT pulls on video as soon as I get the tuning/fueling figured out. Until then, I'm stuck puttering around at -10 - 0 psi vac...
Just got a hood from the junkyard and some red spray paint so I can practice cutting in that vent and not mess up my hood and see what it'll look like. Lol.
Still trying to figure out what I want to do tuning wise for the supercharger... I think I want to ditch the AEM in favor of a Split Second fuel controller to run the 7th injector and just live with the "rich condition" error code and associated check engine light since it will only be in closed loop for a short amount and then switch to open loop and then the O2 sensor value doesn't matter. Since I'm pretty sure my Cherokee doesn't have a "limp mode" I should be fine. Just clear the code before I get it inspected and I'll be good to go.
I'm pretty sure I can get away with not doing any timing retard since I'll be running 93 octane and these things are extremely retarded to begin with (probably something to do with the lesser quality fuels in other countries).
Don't worry. I have a wideband gauge that my eyes will be glued on to make sure I don't go lean. I also have a knock sensor that I have to add at some point.
I hope this all makes sense since I wrote it all on my phone... XD

Got some work done on the JY hood today. I really wish it didn't have those holes in it because the paint job is looking remarkably good considering that I used about $5 in Rustolium classic red gloss paint. Lol. I might try and fill in those holes and put this hood on and not even cut up my stock hood.
Oh yeah, and I washed my XJ. Err... I mean... I GOT IT COMPLETELY COVERED IN MUD!!! Yeah. That's what happened. I don't wash my Jeep. What chu talkin' about?!?

So... Getting a new a/c compressor just shot to the top of my list of things to do. I think the stealership overfilled it when I had them recharge the system, so now the clutch on the compressor is slipping and squealing like crazy whenever I try to turn the air conditioning on. Kinda killer on a 90+ degree day.
I did get some more progress on the hood though.
I decided to paint the under side of the hood since the paint job is coming out so well on the top (which I honestly didn't expect and why the under side is being painted after the top
). And the paint is a pretty darn close match to the color on my Cherokee. WIN!!!

My redneck-rattle-can-spray-booth-in-a-backyard setup. (patent pending)

You'd honestly never guess that this hood used to be beige. Lol.
NOW NO ONE HAS AN EXCUSE FOR DOING A POOR RATTLE CAN PAINT JOB ON THEIR CHEROKEE!!!!!
Just skip the matte paints and get the gloss ones!
If I can do this in my back yard and still get decent results, then anyone can.
Total cost for painting the hood: Less than $10 with tax.

Took my original hood off and replaced it with the junkyard hood that I modified and painted.
Of course, I couldn't pass up on the opportunity to drive to Wawa hoodless.
Got a couple confused looks and one laugh. Lol.

Just chillin' in the Wawa parking lot without a hood. Nbd.

Then I took the rubber elbow off in the Wawa parking lot to see if running an open throttle body would lower my IATs. It didn't. They actually went up.
When my dad an I got back home from Wawa, we were still feeling a little bit redneck from painting the hood in the back yard (with spray paint) and we did this... I dunno. The paint fumes must have gotten to us or something.
After we put this on, I couldn't stop laughing. Then I got in the driver's seat and burst out laughing again!
Good thing we went on a very short drive avoiding main roads.
There was a bug flying in front of the pipe when I started it... I think my Cherokee was a tad hungry and went NOM NOM NOM on the bug...

I reckon that the bubble wrap heat deflective barrier added at least 70 hp.
In all seriousness though, this was the most effective at lowering IATs since it was acting as a "ram-air" intake. Maybe a snorkel isn't such a bad idea after all... If I do get a snorkel, I'll probably rattle can it red (using my newly acquired jedi spray painting skills). So... ARB snorkel or Chinese knock-off? Lol.

Keep in mind, this hood is just a TEST hood. I'll remake it eventually and make it look MUCH better. But this will get me through in the meantime.

DO IT!!! DO IT NOW!!!! Lol.
But, yeah... Great shocks and I'm loving them so far.
Zombie armor... Hmm..
Updatearoonies:
Going to drop off the XJ at RPM tomorrow to have the 6* axle shims installed, have the mechanical fan idler pulley changed (it's squeals sometimes and annoys me), and get my a/c compressor replaced since the stealership ruined the clutch by overfilling the system with refrigerant. >.< Worked gread for a month or two after they did it, but now it just squeals any time I try and put the a/c on. (as you can probably tell, I LOVE MY A/C!!! Lol).

That comment worries me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
I have the Zone Offroad Nitro's on. Little bouncy for me. On my Wrangler YJ I had the Bilstein 5100's and I thought it was a little boaty on the highway.
How would you describe them before I sleep on the couch to get them? lol!!!!!!
