Project: Keepin' it clean
No worries. So, the cluster is held by 4 bolts and the plastic molding is held by snaps and a few screw? Maybe tomorrow you can circle those screws for the plastic molding? That would be helpful.
Thank you.
Thank you.

The lower kick panel does not need to be removed, but it makes things easier.
There might be more snaps than the amount that I circled (just pull), but I believe the screws I pointed out are the only ones holding it on. Getting the light **** through the hole is a little tough. Just push on the **** hard and it should go through the hole.
I forget if the steering column plastics need to come off... I think they do. (three screws on the bottom of the column)

Gotta finish installing the amp first. And the center bezel needs to be hit with some clear coat to protect the red paint that you sprayed on it.

Hoping to get all that done tomorrow so I can fix my rear wiper and finish swapping my locks out (and maybe put the power lock actuators in).

Time for a somewhat boring update...

^^This is pretty much what I say and the face I have when I go out to work on my Jeep in the dark while it's raining. I need to get one of those epic hats though... :/
Didn't get much done today, but I did modify the radio adapter cable so the amp will just plug right into the radio. Here is my pseudo-pro attempt at making a wiring harness.

Ready to be soldered connections (already soldered them but didn't take pics)

I'm trying to be sneaky and mount my amp there. Hopefully the plastic dash thingy will fit back on with the amp in that location. (you can also see the modified power supply for my XM radio head unit)

You're welcome.
Your Cherokee is lookin' great!
It's the chrome rims that are making you jealous. Isn't it? :P
Congrats on the MTRs!!! I gotta see what the pressures in mine are so I can drop a couple psi to make them ride smoother (I'm way under their load rating). Although the weather here is kinda making that difficult to do... 95+ one minute and doing this the next... Neither of which are muy bueno.

XxXJ99xX, I just realized something... YOUR CHEROKEE IS A TWO DOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND YOU HAVE RAIN SHADES (?) JUST LIKE MINE!!!!! TWINS!!!!!!!
Btw. Are my pics showing up?
**EDIT**
Cruising CF since I'm bored and can't really do anything to the Jeep while it's raining... And I found this in relation to a grenade shift ****:
^^WIN!!!

Now I know what my next mod is going to be.

Thank you, I really appreciate the compliments. And yes its the chrome haha, I'm seriously considering ordering a set of Soft 8's and then painting them. But We'll see what happens...And yes its a 2-Door lol You have no idea how much time I spent trying to find a 2-Door 5-Speed up country Cherokee. But it was all worth it, And the rain shades are on there but are cracked and need replaced. Thats on the list to lol

Dude. It was hard enough for me to find what I have locally. Lol. There are like only 2 or 3 two doors in my area (including mine). Super duper rare.

I envy you for having an AX-15. I want. BADLY!!

Update time. Got some more work done on installing the new amp.

Where I left the amp the other day. (It's now mostly wired up and is under the seat, but I don't have a pic of that yet
)

Got some new wire to replace all the stuff that I cut up. (PO had the Jeep pre-wired for an amp). A lot better than trying to reconnect the wires I shortened (thought I was going to install the amp in the dash, but that amp didn't work the way I wanted it to, so I had to get a different one
)

Purdy wires.

XJ Pod is finally fully installed.

Just gotta put this back in it.
And that's all I've got pic wise for now. I'll probably post moar tomorrow.

As for the sound quality... I haven't had it turned on long enough to really have an opinion on it. XD Once I finish wiring up my amp, I'll give some sort of a review on it and probably post a video of it playing a song.

Okay... Update. I think. It's either an update or just an excuse for me to photo ***** my build thread...
While I finished wiring up my amp, my dad painted the snow plow thingy.

Little piece of advice for those rubber isolator things. Lick the insulation on the wire. Makes it SOO much easier.

I was going to grab ground for the amp at one of the seat belt bolts, but that idea kinda went topsy turvy after I stripped the second torx bolt.

So I just did this. And smothered it with di-electric grease.

Amp in final resting place. (I cleaned up the wiring, but forgot to take a pic...
)

XJ Pod fully assembled.

Ugh. Dash needs put together.

My super awesome aux in mod for Sony Xplod head units.

Kinda makes it easy when the connections are labeled with what they do. Makes modding that much easier. Lol. And I also voided the warranty on this head unit the second I decided to take it apart (literally a couple days after I got it).

Radio connections. radio and speaker stuff, amp, aux in, antenna (hiding).

Back in and ready to test...

Y U NO WORK?!?!? Oh... That's why. Derp.

Let's try that again. Still gotta clean up all the wiring I added...

Btw, heat shrink. Use it. ON EVERYTHING!!!!!

Idk why I took this pic... Looks cool though.
And...............

BOOM!!!!!

Finally put the dash back together and installed the center bezel that my dad painted. Me likey.

My dad gave my endcaps a make-over. Looking much better now. Just gotta get the rear bumper back on.
Fyi. This update brought to you by a Coca Cola and Coca Cola Icee induced sugar and caffeine overload. And the music I am currently listening to is brought to me by Octane.

Just stumbled upon this. DO WANT!!! 9 speed automatic
"The ZF transmission uses a TorqueFlite-style planetary gearset, but there the resemblance ends; it has four wheel sets (interlaced to save space) with six shift elements, the first application of interlocking dog clutches in car powershift transmissions, and exceedingly fast reaction and shifting times including direct double shifts and multiple shifts."
