I asked them to make it do just 1st only, but 1-2 still functions normally for some reason... It does hold 1st in low range though.. Weird. Lol.
I honestly don't know.. Probably has to do with which springs and ***** are put in. I know there were left-overs in the box when they were done.

I am working on a controller now so that with the stock shift lever, you flip only one switch (manual - auto) and then your stock shifter will be-- 12 position is 1st gear, 3position is 2nd gear and OD position is 3rd gear. No other switches or levers to use or needed.

It probably just popped the gasket between cyl three and four. Pull the head, have it decked, through a good high mil gasket and some ARP studs in and rock out. (you'll have to trim the fire wall to run the studs because the head wont slip on other wise... just an FYI). But I'm sure the motor is fine.
Effective CR which is static + added boost for 8.75 + 12.5 lbs boost is 12.0:1. Thank goodness for the poor flowing head and cam which don't allow for that much filling. Your point is well taken. Between 3 and 4 maybe, but it seems to have popped into a water passage as it pressurized the cooling system and blew off the lower radiator hose.

Once the seal is broken, pressure will seep under the gasket. 3 and 4 are always the culprit on the 4.0. I've done upwards of 20 head gaskets on these things. It's a long afternoon job. So hop to it.

Wrong... mine was 5-6 AND 1-2... 3-4 were the only two that were still good lol

At least we know the limit of a stock 4.0 now. LMAO. XD
