thanks guys i may have found a nice cheap DD..88 mj 2wd for $700 so more money for the big one and who knows, maybe i can find another xj to just swap parts..we shall see

Looks like good decision to rebuild man. I've always loved the look of the burnt orange they had on them with black. (no chrome)

OMG man i loved this Jeep!!! i followed the build thread the whole way through!!!! i feel your pain!...my suggestions are buy the MJ make it DD and take the whole top off of this one and cage it...exo and all. It would be amazing make a soft top for it too! i will be watching following this thread as well...KEEP JEEPIN!

Dang im sorry bud, that sucks. So what happened at the accident? did anyone else help you out with describing the lady's car or did you get nailed with a ticket? Ive seen people get nailed with tickets when they didnt cause the accident.

Im glad your alright and your continuing on with your xj. cant wait to see pics of the project when it starts coming along

thanks guys and yeah nobody claims they saw it and nothing on the lady so far so nothing was really said after it. besides the fact i had to pay all the damn towing charges.

very sad to see such a great xj fall! it was such an insperation! and i was even more sad to hear you almost getting rid of it!!
but im super excited to read and follow the second stage of life for the high roller!!
and congrats on the mj find maybe one day it can also be on here in a build thread making us all drool and stare

You cant swap bodies on cherokee's...they are uni-bodies.

thanks guys yeah i was thinking of doing a body swap too but only time will tell. my gf got me a tool chest for all my tools this Christmas so i can work faster not having to chase down all my tools! god i love her!
