The factory junction boxes, blocks, etc. are a nightmare...

An update:
The doors are off and I'm planning on tube doors.
I am going to build a custom dash with an ignition switch panel, marine radio and speakers (whole new wiring since I cut the factory harness out), and potentially aftermarket gauges.
I am looking at fuse boxes and ground bars to build a new harness for the interior. The factory one is a major mess and I want to do a simple harness with all of the important functions.
Engine and drive train improvements are on hold until I get an area that isn't dirt to work on the Jeep.

So an update, I enjoy no doors a lot. Parked my Fusion for a bit just to drive the Jeep around as much as possible.
Painted the interior using farm and implement paint ol John Deere green as I tested it on the sway bar a month and a half ago and it looks great. So far with proper prep, it is working out way better than the truck bed liner I was originally using not to mention cooler temp wise also.
I have a marine waterproof radio and speaker set including tinned wiring which I am going to install as well. The tinned wiring is used in maritime applications to fight corrosion and as the Jeep will stay doorless for the foreseeable future, any weatherproof or weather resistant option needs to be exercised.
I wired up a push button as the starter wire going to the ignition switch was cut and spliced into an oblivion and it was causing multiple different starting issues. The push button still requires the key to turn the ignition on. The wiring was soldered and heatshrinked as the more I poke into the wiring the more I see improper electrical repairs.
Still working up a plan for the half dash. I have been seeing some fiberglass stuff and it looks interesting and potentially addicting.
