So now that the 99 Cherokee has been brought back from the dead (See Ladies and Gentleman thread) it is time for upgrades!

So this is the fiances Jeep, she won't let me make it a 4x4 or a racejeep so I have other ideas... It's my Jeep and well:

This is going to be the ultimate Florida DD Jeep. What does that require?

1. Just enough offroad capability to drive offroad on the drive on beaches.
2. Just enough offroad capability to drive into a median when I-95 is shut down for hours on end.
3. Keeps itself cool enough so it doesn't melt in 90+ degree temps in the summer.
4. Keeps the driver cool enough when the Jeep gets cut off for the tenth time in rush hour traffic.
5. Plenty of bro-bars and other lighting goodies.

bro-bar (Stolen definition)
Definition - A light bar equipped to a Two Wheel Drive (C'mon where are you off-roading? Your moms front yard?) or Four Wheel Drive vehicle (i.e. jacked up truck whose owner is over compensating for a tiny package or a Jeep Wrangler that mall crawls and just can't even.)

6. Off-road bumpers because getting rear ended and getting a scratch while the other vehicle is totaled might be a good wake up call to get off the phone.

The Jeep originally.

The Jeep now

So for those who followed the repair thread, you may of seen a new addition to the Jeep.

This little light bar is an Apena 9'' from Wally World. I've seen some good reviews for the price. I unboxed it and mounted it up last night. The light and mount construction seems like it'll last for a few months or a year. The recommended plug and play wiring harness is incomplete and requires a lot more wiring on your part.

Speaking of which........

Added some stickers and went and took my 2wd XJ to our drive on beach. Guy at the gate told me 2wd vehicles won't work on the beach due to the weather but I went anyway and didn't get it stuck in the soft or packed sand

Bro Stickers!

Haha... yeah mine never got stuck at Daytona or Ormond when it was 2wd either. These little Jeeps are very capable!

They are plus it all depends on the driver. I saw 4x4s stuck because the idiots thought going into the extreme soft stuff was going to be no issue or just being out right stupid.

So an update from another thread:

Jeep Dragged by Mobile Home company

The steering makes a loud popping noise, sure enough it appears the tie rod is damaged. Since lawyers don't want to take the case, I'm just going to upgrade the system to the ZJ 1 ton steering.

Ya mean the V8 ZJ steering? I would hardly call it 1-ton, but it's definitely more beefy than the OE XJ/ i6 ZJ steering.

Eh any improvement is good for me lol.

Did front shocks but got a new phone and lost the pictures. Them shocks have been on there a while.

Ordered the ZJ steering upgrades and got a cap, rotor, and plugs so I'll do that.

Going to order rain guards for the windows and 784 injectors after I fix the blower motor and temp sensor.

Riding buddy!
