I finally had the chance today to pick up some accessories for my Cherokee. Hey, gotta spoil the beast every once in a while
Rugged Ridge Front Seats

KOR Safari Roof Rack

VisionX 43" Xmitter Prime Lightbar (for that OMG highbeam effect)

JCR Stage 2 Rocksliders

JCR Transfercase Skid

Ok, so I'm really spoiling myself, but I can't wait to get a chance to bolt all of this on. Gotta wait another 59 days until I'm home on R&R to get to have fun!

Talk to Dirk at DPG Off-Road, he can hook you up with a really sweet price on it. The shipping is what kills you though, unless you live near WA, then you might want to look into doing a "will call" and pick it up directly from ARB in Renton (by Seattle).

Heres an update: in addition to the above posts parts, I ordered some new axle shock mounts from JKS to fix that issue in the back.
For now my gears, wheels and tires install is going to be on hold for a bit. I've stated before that I like to do things right the first time... so first thing for me is actually going to be a brake upgrade in the rear ala some grand cherokee or TJ rear disks and backing plates off of a Dana 35.
For the front end I'm wrestling with whether or not to go really big like a Vanco hydroboost kit and with bigger calipers, rotors, and more braking pressure. I like how much safer it makes hard stopping and I'm already not impressed by my rig on 30's with a 2000lb trailer behind me.
Here's a quick link to Vanco's page:

Also, the shop I've got scheduled to perform my gear swap said he'd install lockers for free while he has everything open if I wanted..... I think he's baiting me.... so now I'm trying to save up for some ARB's and the compressor.... Oi... my wallet is biting me again. This is sounding more and more like next years project.

I'm back in the states early... far to early for most of my parts to get here so I've been biding my time with the small upgrades. Tuesday I put in Rugged Ridge seats. I am so happy with how the Jeep feels to drive now. Just the right mixture of comfort and firmness in the seats. Also, If you're tall like me (6'5"), you will like that they seem to sit about half an inch lower in the rear than the stock ones, getting your head off of the roofline.

I know I said I wanted to do brakes first, but I ended up going with tires and flares first. It won't be for too long, but I don't anticipate needing to tow any time soon so I'll have some time to get that other part taken care of. I ordered a set of 5 Kumho KL71's in the 35x12.5R15 flavor and some 15x10 wheels, should be able to get them together Monday and bolt them up. Also grabbed some Bushwacker cutouts that will be this weekends project after I get back from camping tonight.

Sorry to you all who may have been looking for installation pics, I was too lazy and dirty to dig out my camera. Here's what my rig looks like now:

here's a before shot of the profie (before I fixed the rear ride height):

after:

and part of the rear:

I really hated taking the grinder and cutoff wheel to my Jeep, but I love the endstate. Haven't had a chance to take it off the pavement (obviously), but that will come. I need to get my bumpstops straight first though so I don't tear my flares off with my tires. I also need to move my front tires forward some now that I have more room to get the most out of my steering without rubbing, and thanks to my adjustables control arms that shouldn't be too terrible.

I have to say this forum is filled with rigs that make you look twice. Your rig is by far one of the best looking rigs that I have seen on this forum! Such clean lines! I am completely jealous!! All I can say is wow, what a rig!

I also got a note from KOR that my roofrack made it on the truck last night and will be in my area soon for powdercoating and I'll finally be able to get that last piece installed.... along with my other armored goodies.

Happiness is: Discovering that you need to buy taller jackstands to reach your framerails because your lift-itus has affected more than you think.
I was at my storage unit today taking snapshots of things I was going to sell from my Jeep and WAS going to grab my jack and jackstands to I could pull my front end out an inch this weekend. Sounds like I'm in for a trip to Autozone or Harbor Freight instead...

I'm using a block of wood for now to supliment my jacks lift height, but I will need taller stands to hold the framerail while I adjust the front suspension. I seem to remember having taller ones, but I guess not.
