2000 XJ- Flying Elvis
Here is my 2000 XJ. Picked her up with 86,000 completely bone stock. This is going to be my primary winter vehicle/BOV.
Aside from maintenance, I have purchased some cheap Harbor Freight off road lights I will mount this weekend. I opted for the cheaper route to get me by for the time being. Going to give it a nice citrus bath to eat up all the dirt/grime that has been on the paint, claybar, and wax. Looking to paint the wheels black as well, I think the black on blue is going to look great.
Unfortunately my other project has been neglected and not driven as much since I bought the XJ.
Will have pics in the upcoming weeks with the progress of the XJ!

Been a while since the update. Rear hatch wouldn't stay up on its own. Ordered some Monroe from online.
Before when the hatch would not stay up.
And after I can finally get it up (thats what she said)
Also installed my Putco H4 headlight wiring harness. I didn't receive my Autopal housings yet so I threw the Silverstar's back in for the time being. There was a little improvement with just the sealed beams and the new harness. There was not more light, but the lights were certainly brighter. Cannot wait to see the difference with my 100/80w lights and autopal's.
Here are the new relays. One for high beam and one for low beam.
Everything dissembled and ready to go. Sealed beams and grill off.
Wire ran beneath the grill. You can see the drivers side socket here near the end of the grill.
And here it is complete. You can see the new wiring harness sockets coming out both of the headlights.
This is where we tucked the entire harness through.
Where we fed it to get into the grill.
Here is where the ground was mounted on the passenger side.
And the ground mount for the driver side. This one was a little difficult to mount. There was not to many places up top where this wire would reach so we took out the blinker bulb and found a good ground tucked behind there.
Silverstar on stock harness:
Silverstar on upgraded harness:
Should have my new housings here shortly so it will light even better. That's all until next week.

Ordered a Performance Curve Magnaflow exhaust kit for $100. Looks like the muffler is stainless steel and the pipe aluminum, how can you go wrong for that price? Also looks like the pipe is 2.5" which is good. Anyways after cutting the old rusty crap off ran into a bit of the problem. The original muffler had a flange on the end of it. The new Magnaflow one did not, big problem. Had to cut off the old flange and weld it onto the new muffler. The Magnaflow sounds good, very aggressive under throttle but nice and tame while idle.
Old muffler, you can see it start coming apart.
