Hi, sweet build. Just in the process of linking my XJ and stumbled across this awesome thread.

Can I ask if you have any pictures showing your exhaust routing around your linked rear? I've gone through all 46 pages and can only find ones showing the cherry bomb is still in the stock muffler position, but can't see how you have routed the rest of the pipe around your links and axle. I can't see an outlet at the back, or sides of your Jeep either, so have you just ended it after the cherry bomb, to exit under the vehicle? If so, do you have any issues with fumes? Mine's a DD too, so I would rather keep the pipe as a tail exit, but I just can't see how I'm going to route it.....

Thanks for the inspiration

the cherry bomb setup just dumped behind the front seats, but i had to redo it when i did the 3 link, and now it dumps right under the gas tank.

i just kind of tossed it together with scrap, so its not to pretty. but it doesnt hit any of the links or the driveshaft. so i will eventually have an exhaust shop redo it out of a single piece of exhaust tubing and put some actual hangers to replace my ghetto fab ones. but for now it works just great and is quiet.

couple pictures.

Quiet - I can attest to that. Saw him at Jeeptoberfest - ha! I didn't even know it had a cherry bomb on it.

skid is done for now. I'm out if time since I'm going wheeling this weekend.

But all the 1/4" mounting brackets are welded on and the shape is finished. The plate is secure but there are still about 10 more holes to drill and tap but I need to pick up some more countersunk bolts.

and I need to pull it back off and trim some of the aluminum backing plate just to clean it up.

But minus some bolts this is the finished skid. I really like the way the uhmv can smoothly conform to the uneven frame rail lines

Good lookin' skid - can't wait to see how it's gonna hold up.

and a video of a failed attempt at a wall, its a 5-6 vertical wall of slickrock. ive made the climb before but just couldnt seem to make it yesterday.

but, it was a good way to really put those CTM's to the test only with my skid plate as i came down hard on the throttle a few times

it was a rough day, and i think that picture shows it. lol

most of the climbs and rocks were pretty slick from the rain and just about everything took a good bit of wheelspeed.

So if everything falls into place these next 2 weeks. I should have some new wheels and some 37x12.5x17 MTRs. And maybe a set of weld on beadlocks
