Well I guess she's spendin another night in the shop... They told my dad today that my tie rod was bent and it'd cost $225 for the part and labor.... No thanks.. So tomorrow my dad will (I'm in school) prolly go pull a tie rod at the JY so they can finish it up.. The shop is 25 miles from my house so were not drivin it home just to do that.. Anyways thinkin about pullin one off of a ZJ.. Seems simple enough, is there anything you have to do to the ZJ tie rod to make it work?

Alright... Been dealing with some electrical issues for awhile... Starting to dig into em.. Sooo here's the list... Enjoy
1) Auto lock switches don't work either side.
2) windows roll down from driver door only and only when bottom connection on the switch is hooked up (the top connection on the switch sparks when you plug it in and then only the mirror switches work)
3) interior lights stay on as of awhile ago.. Pulled the bulbs so don't really know for sure..
4) 1/5 speakers work (passenger) and (both drivers side door speakers went under water) but recently the passenger rear and passenger sound bar speaker went out.. The one that works sounds like crap but the 10" sub works fine
5) passenger turn signal makes the noise but the light on the dash and the blinkers on the front are very dim and they make almost a squeaking sound from outside the cabin (rear doesn't even work)

Thinkin 1-4 have somethin to do with goin under water.. The water came in to the drivers side only and was just below the 4wd shifter thing in the cabin but not as deep in the rear...... Yeah I know.... What can you guys tell me?

Been quite awhile since I've been on here but it's good to be back! Haven't done much since last time but got some stuff figured out... Fixed my window problem... And came up with 2 ideas on how to fix my swaybar rubbing problem...
1. Move the sway bar mounts 1-2" forward (anyone why this wouldn't work?)
2. Drill new holes in the swaybar ends for the discos... Holes would be on flat part of swaybar end as far as they could go forward... That would actually make the discos vertical...

(Both ideas are to get the ends off of the coils... Sick of hearing a snap everytime I hit a bump)

Also... Took a BA pic so here's that!

your XJ came out looking pretty damn nice

try removing the sway bar altogether. see how you like it. if you don't like it, buy some quality shocks before investing in discos

Thanks man! And I already have the discos I'd just have to move the bolt forward on the swaybar or the swaybar itself... I may try driving without it but is that gonna be dangerous? This is my DD....

I've never ran sway bars. and I dont know any local wheelers who run sway bars. I run stiff shocks so I dont have body roll. worst thing that happens is you dont like it and you can just put the sway bar back on right?

I've never tried to adjust a sway bar so I dont know how to help ya there. and when I can't figure something out my first thought is always to just cut it off
