I mean you can get it if you want. hundreds of people run RC crap and swear by it but there's enough reviews about their parts not fitting, leafs going saggy, horrible ride quality, missing parts in the delivery, bad service etc. I'd just keep saving and buy something that will last. I mean a lift kit is a couple year decision.
more than enough for me to not want to run ANY of their products on my jeep. ever. do some digging. rubicon express has great prices and great reviews. check out 4wheelparts.com

i love my rubicon express lift. but it wasn't cheap by any means. 1800 is quite on the high end of lifts but i did get long arms. i run a 5.5" on 35's. but if you do lift it even 3 inches i would think about getting a slip yoke eliminator. don't do a transfer case drop, they are dumb. what are you wanting to do with this xj? rock's? mud? if it's just mud like i see in one of your pics i'd go 4.5" on 35's. and once you get up to a 4.5 lift you'd definitely want at least adjustable lower control arms aswell as an adjustable track bar. i like your jeep i wish i had a newer one
4wheelparts has great prices on RE. the kits are very reasonably priced in fact this is the kit I have. and they sell smaller cheaper kits of course.

and I would've ordered it from 4wp if I didnt find it on CL for half price. only complaint is it doesnt come with shocks.
and a tcase drop is a great temporary fix until you can afford a SYE.
I think LA's and 35's are too much for a first time jeeper dont you? that's a serious investment as well

Ill repeat.. DONT go rough country. Im running their 4.5" lift and my jeep rides like an empty dump truck driving through moguls. So yeah, just dont do it. lol. I would go with what the other guys have said and save up for a good lift at the height that you want. In the end itll be much cheaper that way rather than buying mutiple lifts because each time you just want to go bigger. Do it right or dont do it at all. Just my .02. lol. But nice jeep man.

Ok guys, its been a while... nothing major yet on the jeep. The only thing is that i installed a Thrush Turbo muffler and cut off the cat. Did a little parts collecting also. I picked up 4 15x8 rims for $50 all together since im on 16s right now. Also picked up some 31s for free, they are worn but theyll work when i get my lift until i have more cash for newer tires.
Heres some pics

Pics and hopefully vid of muffler in next post

There are a couple guys in my Offroad club, including myself that run Rough Country and have nothing but positive things to say about their stuff. If you are on a budget I would either go win Rough Country or check out Iron Rock. Rubicon Express is great stuff, I run their shocks on my trail XJ and my daily driver XJ has Rough Country. All 3 of those companies have good stuff. Just my 2 cents.

It's been awhile since I've updated this but its also been awhile since I updated my XJ... Nothing major but me and my dad changed my oil and oil filter last night and were plannin on changing the o2 sensor but the people at autozone got mixed up and gave us the universal one instead... We were plannin on doin the sensor after the oil but we opened it up and that's when we realized it was the uni one which we'd have to strip wires and do a bunch of unnecessary crap.. so for $3 more we got the OEM one and a 10 % discount for our troubles
.... Literally just got done putting it in and drove it a lil... Hoping that fixes my hesitation (ill know tomoro morning because it only happens after sitting over night)
That's it... I'll prolly update it tomoro to let u no if it changed anything
Thanks,
-Drew
