Lmao. Trick for the ones who don't have a tool or lift. Basically you get a socket large enough to sit the balljoint nipple end inside, then start the balljoint cup in it's socket on the knuckle, then use the floor jack to apply pressure to the socket (floor jack is pushing the joint into socket) while you tap the C where it's being inserted. The joint pops right in.
Removing is easy, sit socket on top of joint (grease fitting end) and whack with 3lb hammer.
It also helps if you spray the grease fitting side with PB blaster or penetrant first and let soak.

mmmm new balljoints - everything went smoothly using the kit adapters. Also swapped the new-to-me Cooper STTs to my rear wheels - ended up having to cut the tire that blew off the wheel - that sucked.

Old joints pressed out:

Ahh, when I did it I wasn't saving the rim so I cut it and the rim clean in half with a sawzall. Tires are tough though.

Amazing build, amazing XJ.
I just spent hours this morning reading all 80 pages and I feel like I've gone from admiring your XJ to damn near stalking it. So many ideas so little money, subbed and looking forward to one day wheel with y'all
