Sweet build!
You should let us know how the DIY DB bumper goes. I've been looking at it for awhile now so I'm curious to see how it goes. I've read about the instructions not being the best for some people but I feel like it would be pretty straight forward.
Some pics of the process would be pretty sweet too if you have the time for it :P

Bumper should be easy to assemble. Haven't started yet.
More stuff done on the 8.8 - housing is fully cleaned:

Cut the ears off the ABS port flush with the housing

Started cutting the mounts off

Threw some paint on a few locations that don't need welding.

Also changed out the front pinion outer bearing and seal last night. Outer bearing was definitely shot. Noise from the front end is greatly diminished now, although still there, but not as worrisome. Also broken open the diff and changed the fluid. Gears look perfect still so i'm not as worried.
And I got this: Ruffstuff 3/8" 50ksi cover with 1/2" ring. SUPER BEEF

there is no hurry to install the 8.8 - probably spring since i want 4x4 for the snow. I need to get it set up with mounts and a truss, need to install a sye and get a driveshaft, and need to regear the front to match.
don't worry i have a list of other stuff that needs done

Ballin'. I just cut mine out and moved them up right to the bottom of the door jamb where the black foot plate trim piece sits. You have to trim the doors, but you should do the same or go up higher to the bottom door hinge and then make some badass boatsides on your clean jeep.
