I filled up the jeep for the first time. Last tank got me 22mpg! Big jump over 15-17 in the old one

Thanks

I sat down and thought about realistic mods for this. The more I think about lifting it and the troubles that come with lifts, the less I want to lift it... I was talking to a guy about lifting it and he looked at me like I was crazy and said if it was his he'd keep it stock and baby the crap out of it. So I think that's what I'll do.

Anyways, mods!
full 2.5" mild toned exhaust Half Check!
Spectre cowl intake Check!
60mm TB
703 injectors
Dynomat doors floors and all
r12 to r134a refrigerant conversion
Rear disc brakes, maybe WJ or KJ 8.25

When I finish school and land an engineering job these are some things I would like to throw into it
17s and stock height tires
Supercharger
Shift kit
Rear LSD, maybe a truetrac or powertrax
Cam

This is all I can think of for now, but I don't think I need anything else... we'll have to see

Nothing wrong with stock height. My XJ is stock with 235s and its a good height for me. I might lift it one day, thinking 2" OME. But that will be when I have more money to spend.

Yeah, my other one is at 2.5" on 31s and I like it a lot, just not the sound coming from the engine

I looked at wheels a little bit and I think I found what I want

Well, I think I fixed the leak... The petcock on the rad was loose... I hope that was it anyways.

I forgot to post this. Retractable magnetic work light

My ignition switch went out on me this weekend. No radio, blinkers, AC, or wipers But I have a parts jeep for that So I put that in and after a few tries got the adjustment close enough.

Then yesterday the coolant leak came back with a vengeance so today I put the 'new' radiator in. The funny thing was that the coolant in my parts rig was cleaner than the Cleanix's... I'll have to get it flushed soon.

So here it is with the rad out

And here's old and older side by side. The silver one is the 'new' one and was installed into my 89 in December of 2011, so it's got a few years left I figure. Plus it's thicker than the original. 1.5" instead of 1"

Perfect! I'll just have to top off the coolant tomorrow morning.

I also snagged the tranny cooler from the 89. It's 7.5x11 I think? But it is the good kind where the fins are tubes and it got my 89 to 280k with me driving it for the past 60k and my dad since 170k. I would even trust that tranny enough to swap it in.

I've already put 1000 miles on the jeep. Where does time go?

I'm selling my MTZs today. I'll have $400 for the jeep and I'm hoping that a body shop can fix the rust under the jeep's fender flares and the surface stuff on the rockers and quarters. If not I'll be getting a cat back, and maybe a spectre intake.

I might get some HIDs. It all depends on if this kit has high and low beams. The stock low beams suck!

EDIT: I'm gonna think about it for a bit. I want exhaust too

Get a putco headlight harness or make your own and then get some hella bulbs in some non sealed headlight housings. You can see again and you don't blind oncoming traffic. Win win!
