HELP!!! I Found a steal on craigslist and picked her up 2day for $200
pictures to come soon

Pros: 4x4 works A/c is ice cold. Seems solid. New radiator, Thermostat, Freeze Plugs, body is in good shape for its age. starts and runs, manual windows and locks (don't have to worry about switches and motors going bad)

Cons: cracked head. 216,000 miles, headliner carpet is gone obscenities marked in the foam (classy) busted tail light. driver inside door handle is loose. paint is faded center console doesnt shut carpet and seats are nasty.

Previous owner kept having problems with it overheating and just started throwing parts at it *radiator and thermostat* come to find the head was cracked she gave up on it and put it on craigslist and i jumped all over it. I have always wanted a jeep and I'm stoked about owning my first one

I am a complete noob but luckily one of my best friends is a good mechanic and will help me get it up and running strong.

other than an intro autoshop class i took in high school I dont know much about cars. Please help

I want my buld to be something i can ride around in daily but i would like to sling some mud as well let me know what you guys think !

Pics will be up soon

Try some of that Blue Coral foam upholstery cleaner on those seats. I used it once on a mini-van that I picked up which was a lot worse than that. It came out great. Spray it on, scrub it in, let it dry, then repeat. Then vacuum.

Default Head

Hey guys I found this on Ebay and Thinking of ordering it tomorrow.

Has anyone ever dealt with these guys or locally with this shop?

Seems to be a good deal and a good warranty. Just wanted to see if anyone
else has had dealings with them

i am not sure about getting a head off eBay they might be ok but i would be more comfortable getting it from auto zone or some where like that first but if you go with these guys ask how much they have been decked and what parts they are using during rebuilding

Yeah head to Napa,Autozone,Advanced Auto or Oreilly's and such and get the head locally. Reason is if you have any issues getting the warranty dealt with will be much much easier. As for replacing it just make sure you get the best quality head and valve cover gasket and don't skimp on those. You mechanic friend should be able to help you swap it easily as it's not a difficult job.

On the tail light head to a junk yard and find one. Dirt cheap.

By the way you stole that jeep for that price. Spend a few hundred bucks and clean it up and it'll make a nice rig.

Default ANTS!!!!!

I felt pretty confident it was rust free as its a carolina car and i picked it up a couple hours from the ocean so no salt issue so i pulled corners of the carpet just to check over the wheels and a few other places ive also stomped the floorpans when i got them and they seemed solid. however the bad news is when i pulled the carpet i found ANTS EVERYWHERE AHHHHH heres a couple pics most the black stuff in the pics isnt dirt... its dead ants. Will get a few cans of Raid to morrow pull the carpet and let em have it!!!!
