Quote: Wont the springs be flatter then
Having flatter springs is only good to a point, but if they are too flat they will invert and hurt the springs.

You need to have the shackle angle pointed backwards at a 45 degree angle to allow the shackle to move up and down freely with the axle.

The way it is sitting now you probably don't have a lot of down travel and the uptravel is being limited becasue the leaf is forcing the shackle backwards instead of it rotating up.

Here is my xj. I have longer leafs and custom shackle boxes to make the shackle angle proper.

This is the best pic I have of them at "ride height" but you should get the picture

Full droop and I am being limited about 3" because of my shocks.

I agree..angle hangers the other way.....rubbing with 32's?? where and when? I am running 36's on 4.5in lift. With proper bump stops, you shouldn't rub....or you can trim the hell out of it like i did! lol looks good though...clean!

btw....a cherokee forum window banner would be better than the BFG one! lol

Well the way i have my shackles set up rite now is i have the longer ones hanging off of the stock ones. So i get the flex from those and the lift from the other longer ones..

So you are using too different shackles? That is a really bad idea.

k well i wont be stubborn then. if i take out the stock shackles and then just put on the longer ones i have will i still have enough lift.. i have 2.5" spings then the stock shackles and the new ones on the stock shackle then the spring on the first hole of 3.. the holes are about an inch apart. think i will get the right amount of lift still? if not im gonna be s10 bastard packing it. ill post pics tonite.

IMHO your Jeep looks great the way it is. I think cutting the fenders on your Jeep would really take away from the looks.

Well thank you. I took them off today, didnt like it and threw them back on... maybe i could make some flat one out of diamond plate?? Just cut long strips then bend them to the curve of the well.. then on the in side make folds and bolt them into the existing holes.. idk im always thinking of ideas.
