Default Project Bug-Out...

This will be a very slow budget build. But basicly I want to my xj into a bug-out vehicle. It had a 3" lift on it to start. As well as some 31x10.50 tires. A factory front skid plate and also a front tube bumper. Its runs good. needs and exhaust and the tires will need replaced at some point in the next year. I also have a ford ranger truckbed trailer that I will be working into th ebuild kind of a dual build. My original choice was a diesel vanagon 4x4. But the repair bills on that rig were prohibiting the build process. Well that is all for now I will post of few pics to start so that Everyone can kind of see my starting point.

UPDATESk what Im gonna do since I havent used this thread is link to some individual threads that I have used to post about my rig That way I can have it easy to find on the first page.

Ok so I finally Figured out how to post some pics. Havent done much on it due to the snow. But I have some pretty big plans. The wife informed me she wants to do a trip down the baja to cabo. So I will be outfitting this rig and trailer accordingly.

I would think twice about a trip down there. It's extremly dangerous with all the shootings and other problems So. of the border.

We have done it every year for the past 5 we have just been taking her van down. We have a house in rosarito that we stay the first night at usually. And we spend one more night on the way to cabo, then we stay at a resort one we get there. We have honestly never had any problems on the baja even recently we went down in dec. No big deal really. you get shook down by the federali's more than anything just pretend you dont understand them and they send you on your way.
