Thanks man. Got my ZJ backing plates cleaned, painted, and mounted. Also ordered new axle seals, parking brake hardware kit, and caliper mounting bolts. Very soon to be ordering shoes, pads, and rotors!

That's right, I forgot you were working on the disc conversion. That's on the list of things to do, for me. Where did you end up finding your parts?

Got calipers from a local JY here. Backing blates from U-pull in Alb. Hardware for the shoes and caliper bolts I'm getting from carpartswholesale.com. Pry just autozone or oreilleys for the pads, shoes, and discs. And finally I'll pry end up getting Teraflex parking brake cable from Quadratec. In all I'm only about 90 bucks invested in it.

That's all? Not bad, especially for a rear disc conversion. Let me know how everything goes, when you install it.

Some of the future plans for the Jeep are as follows:

Replace AX-15 tranny
Replace NP-231 case with HD 231 case from JBconversions
Get my purchased 8.25 underneath or build an 8.8
1-ton steering
Double Sheer TB
raise to 4" coils and leafs
add 1" spacers and shackles for total 5" lift
longarms
re-gear to 4.10's

Hopefully get this started by next month. I'm tired of it being parked already.

Alright guys, I ordered some stuff on Sunday. IRO double sheer TB and IRO OTK steering with 5/8's upgrade. I am going to get those installed along with an Optima Yellow top and fire her up. When I was told the tranny was going out on it I had death wobble. I am going to correct the steering and see if I still hear it, or if it was from the DW I heard the noise. If no noise, more mods, if noise, order a tranny ASAP! The only reason I bought the IRO steering components first is because I might be moving and want to get it to where I can drive it if need be.

Okay guys been a awhile since I updated this. I installed the track bar and steering and it was a no go. I bought my first house and put blue off to the side until I could replenish my funds. I towed blue into a shop about a month ago and the mechanic told me the transmission was missing three bolts at the bell housing and was barely on. Also my clutch had cracked due to the bell housing pulling it down. So a new clutch and three bolts later and I've got a working Jeep. The wobble I had encountered was the transmission being loose. Since this was done I installed a iro t case drop, ran a seafoam treatment and am about to drive it and change oil and air.
