Wow, you're a genius aren't you? Almost all retrofitted headlights are sealed with silicone, including mine. I've driven LONG distances at night, no issues. If you'd like to, look at theretrofitsource.com. They have examples of projector retrofits, what do they seal everything up with? Clear silicone.
Keep your comments to yourself unless you know what you're talking about.
Ya sure am, not to put gay light rings in a square housing on a huge square rig. Just me but when something is going to get hot I use something that is meant to get hot like RTV. Some thing that wouldn't melt like clear silicone dose! Got a lighter handy Jack ***. Got a fish tank in that mall crawler?

There are different types of clear silicone and they have different temp ratings. RTV is silicone too.
I love how you think my XJ is a mall crawler, I wheel every chance I get lol, no fish tank here.
Lol well I guess people want more so ill try to make this entertaining . I know a lot of little girls like to play dress up with there cars and I thought pink grills and rims were cute. I had hoped it would stop there but knew it wouldn't. Now they have moved on to xjs. Putting pretty lights obnoxious rims and other unless crap on solid wheeling rigs. Just so you know an xj is not a Honda and dose not need any tunner upgrades to be cool. People will say to each there own and bla bla. But its crap. If your into jeeps your into o.e.m. restoration or off road mods there are gray areas like rescue rigs. You get the point. If you were into jeeps you would be spending your time wrenching or fabricating not playing dress up. So how dose the popcorn taste.

Projectors are in no way a "tuner mod". Look on the road sometime, most new cars have projector headlamps. They're becoming a more common than new cars with reflector headlamps. Why you ask? Because they're brighter than reflector headlamps and sealed beam headlamps. I never did it "to be cool" either.
If you think I'm not a real Jeep guy, you're sadly mistaken. My 92 XJ is a continuous OEM restoration, and it still looks new because of the maintenance I've given it.
As for my 96 XJ, it's my wheeling rig and daily driver.
I turn all my own wrenches and I've never had a shop (or anyone else for that matter)do work for me. Because guess what I do for a living? I'm a service tech at a dealership.
So do you still want to try and insult me? It won't work. I put up with tons of s*** on a daily basis from ignorant people like you.

Let me tell you something, I'll tell you this once. Get your facts straight.
