Rough Country sells some adj control arms that are nice. You do not need long or mid arms. You should only need adj lowers but the uppers would help too. I have a 6.5 short arm with not problems. I also have the control arm drop brackets that Rough Country sells. They drop the arm about 4".

I believe you can get/make shims for the control arm brackets on the body side to push the lowers forward. There is room for a little bit of adjustment there. It may get you by on the cheap..

Well what i have found out is that long arms on a 3" lift can have some problems with clearance, and shortarms... well there short arms. Haha so what i am looking at right now are hudfab's mid arms. There pretty sweet and seam like a good middle ground. I guess thats why there called mid arms

It rained pretty good lastnight so i took the jeep down a back road behind the gas station. Nothing crazy just a sand road with low spots. Still fun though!

shims wont move the axle far enough for where it is now. that thing has to go at least an inch forward.
longarms get pretty close to the frame a that height, but being that it needs to be bump stopped anyway, you wont get them up that far.

Yeah that's why I'm kinda iffy about long arms. I just gota figure it out. Do you think I would get the same flex out of a long arm y-link and a mid arm 4-link? Or would the long arms still get me more?

At that height, a midarm 4 link would be fine. Im sure it would do all that you ever needed. I looked at the kit you had posted a link to, I looked kind of quick but I didnt see anything that would support the upper link. even with that plate on the frame, there is a ton of force on the upper arms and with no support they just leverage the lower brackets.
again, i maty have missed it but that would be my only concern.
I HAVE seen similar setups fail with no support.

I'm about to upgrade my rims and tires, and I have a 3" lift like yours.....and I really want 33s because the 31s are just "too small"

So my question to you is....how much fender did you end up cutting out of the front and rear? just looking for a rough estimate, maybe in inches?

I really have no idea of how many inches i cut. But on the front i cut up to the top of the flair and the back i cut and folded up to the body line. Heres some close up pics.
