Default Project ~98 Stone White Limited~

I'm back with my 2nd Cherokee project. A 1998 Cherokee Classic Limited in Stone White. My nicest vehicle to date and the perfect Cherokee for my project daily driver. Almost zero rust, no dents, scratches, or dings, 198,600 mile strong running 4.0, Selec-Trac 4x4, overhead computer, rear overhead speaker bar, leather seats. I love the cleaner look of the post 1997's with matching fender flares and front grill as well as the updated doors and mirrors. This Cherokee is better than my previous 1992 2 door in every way. Plan to start with the same Mods.... 3" lift with 31" A/T's on either Rubicon's or Soft 8's, not sure which I like better. Money is tight right now, saving for a house so, mods will have to wait. Going to start with the basic tune up and refresh of everything first. Engine oil, filter, and transfer case fluid change is planned for tomorrow. Going to drop the pan to get a look at the bottom of engine and refresh the RTV gasket to stop the small oil drip it has. But for now Shredded Pork and some Pale Ale!

Did the first oil change the other day. Noticed some light brown swirl in the old oil. I think it must be some water that got in there somehow. Also, tightened all of the pan bolts, many were loose. Refilled it with oil then, took it down to the car wash and degreased underneath. The next morning it was obvious that the rear main seal was the majority of the remaining leak. So the plan is to drive it for a month or so then, do another oil change. Then, I will drop the pan and replace the rear main seal. Hopefully there won't be any water in there next time.

Yeah man, that is a nice one! I'm subscribed. I'm thinking they would look great with some Rubicon's. Had some 17" JK Rubi's with 32" KM2's (3" lift) on my old silver 92. They looked great and I got em for $500 (wheels and tires)on CL. It's a good way to go if you don't mind using adapters.

Yours looks good without the side molding. I'm gonna consider doing that later on. Keep up the good work!
