It's been a couple months since my last update. I have just been driving the Jeep and enjoying it. One thing I have noticed recently is that the rear drum brakes are in need of attention, so I ordered a rear disc conversion set from Big David. I also have a dual diaphragm brake booster from a WJ, so soon I'll be doing a major brake overhaul.

Also, I'm starting a YouTube channel. Here's a teaser:

Aaaaaand here is Episode 1:

You may recognize the TJ I'm working on from previous pictures in this thread. It's my father-in-law's. He had me overhaul the suspension on it as it was completely shot. This was my first time wrenching on a Wrangler and I actually really enjoyed it.

Never fear though, as Project 4 Banger Danger does appear in the video!

Next up is my disc brake conversion...

The driver's side disc brake conversion is (mostly) complete! Now to finish up the other side...

I managed to break the steel brake line running to the passenger side, so I get to fix that too.

Well I ran to the parts store and picked up some new hard lines for the axle. The store was out of both ZJ and WJ rear brake hoses for the calipers, so I picked up ZJ front brake hoses instead. It seems like it will work.

New drivers' side hard line:

Old rusty steel line removed:

I began replacing the pads and rotors on the front axle.

Shot of the old pads:

Driver's side done:

As I pulled the old rotor off from the passenger side, I noticed that the axle u-joint is going out...

So after another run to the parts store, I've got two new Spicer u-joints for the front axle.

I tried to install the e-brake cables in the rear but no bueno. The KJ cable I have for the driver's side should have fit but it was way too short. I didn't get a picture but I measured and it was about 10 inches too short. Phooey!

So I ordered two new e-brake cables from Crown that are designed for disc brake conversions.

Hey, thanks for the info! I purchased mine from a different website than the one I posted the picture of and it was cheaper there.

By the way, I love how clean your axle and driveshaft is.

^^^Right!?!? It almost looks like it was a full restoration, minus the fact that the exhaust pipe is cut! The under body is painted black, and it looks like it was done properly. Wheres the build thread, Winginit!
